Hi! My name is Mandy and I'm new to the game. I've been wanting to join this game for a really long time and I finally got off my silly butt and put an application in. :D I'm bringing in Akihiko Sanada from Persona 3. For those who know canon, he's specifically from Persona 3 Portable, female protagonist version. For those who aren't familiar, he's a persona user who's been summoning since middle school. He's one of the ones that shoots themselves with faux guns to summon.

I say kinda because I had him here for a hot second a while back, but it was so embarrassingly brief that I'm pretending it never happened. And so can you! /waves hands spoopily

What do I say about him. HE'S CAPTAIN AMERICA. He was a scrawny dude who really wanted to fight Nazis so he found some scientists to make him hot and then got frozen in the Arctic for several decades before waking up in ~the future~. As you do. I'll be taking Steve from near the end of Captain America: Civil War because of how I love to subject him to as much angst as possible. Jefferson (Once Upon a Time), also known as the Mad Hatter or That Angsty Shut-In Who Gives Off Major Serial Killer Vibes. He is an outwardly goofy, chocobo obsessed gunman who is more likely to shoot you with a camera than a weapon. He will stop in the middle of anything to grab a shot! Or a selfie! It is probably the one thing in his life that can override his anxiety completely.

Prompto will be taking pictures of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. NO ONE IS SAFE.

That said, he is coming in from a rough canon point and will be visibly beaten up so if anyone wants to kickstart some CR with a heals let's go for it!

Hello! I'm Lins! I was here about a year, year and a half ago with one of these lovely ladies, but had to leave the game due to personal circumstances that occurred almost literally around the time I joined. I idled my character out because I had the absolute intent of coming back at some point, and here I am! I'm bringing in two characters at once, because if I'm gonna do anything, I'm gonna do it big, and while they have the same face, for the sake of my sanity, I'm gonna say they don't really have anything more than a passing resemblance to one another.

First up, is my reclaim, Natasha Romanoff of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On the off chance you've never seen any of these movies, Natasha is the Marvel Universe's number one spy. She's a Russian defector, having a prior history with the KGB and a more sinister department of theirs known as the Red Room, and she has a very specific skillset — although she only uses her power for good. She's coming in from the tail end of the last movie we saw her in, Civil War, where she was pitted against her friends in a battle for the male ego. She's prone to bad puns and subterfuge, and can kill you with her thighs. No, really, see?

She's coming in with the mark of Death, although I haven't yet decided what it is, it'll be located on her left hip, just above the scar she has there. If there was anyone here that I had (brief) CR with during Natasha's last foray, I'd love to continue it! Let me know here, my memory is terrible.

My other ~~Scarlett Johansson~~ character is Major, from the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, which I tend to refer to as Ghost in the Shell (2017). Again, for those unfamiliar, Major is a cyborg cop, working for Public Security Section 9 as their field leader and all around bad ass counter cyber terrorism agent. She has a different backstory — and story in general — than the anime and manga adaptations of the series, but she fundamentally remains the same character, prone to fits of navel gazing and a slight, dry, sarcastic streak. I won't go into many more details here due to spoilers for the live-action film, but I will say that Major is tough, straight to the point, and doesn't hold back. She once punched a tank to death. It was awesome. Major cannot kill you with her thighs, but she doesn't need to because she can kick your ass in other ways. While turning invisible.

Major has been marked by Judgement, and I do not know what her mark is just yet or where it's placed but as soon as I do, I'll have it posted. I'd love CR with just about everyone with this lady, so hit me up!

'Sup, guys, I'm Jove, I'm brand spanking new! It's good to be here! And coming in with me is Daniel Cross from some serious about history and stabbing people-- oops, I mean, Assassin's Creed.

For those unfamiliar, Daniel originates from the lesser-known side comics in particular, and he's pretty much responsible for almost everything going to shit in the Assassin's Creed universe, especially for the Assassins. Once an Assassin, now a high-ranking Templar, Daniel will be dropping in pretty much right when he dies. Make no mistake, while he won't be outright rude (even agreeable at first) he is absolutely not a nice person for the most part. He's antagonistic to the core, not at all bothered by being offensive as all get out, manipulative, cold, cruel, violent, and a highly trained combatant. He's also extremely mentally unstable thanks to a little something called the Bleeding Effect.

That said, I'm not kidding about him being offensive. It's not just swearing. It can and will get personal, if Daniel feels it will give him an advantage. Here's a permissions post everyone can hit up if they want to let me know if there's topics they'd rather I avoid.

Meet Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect, telekinetic alien archaeologist turned information broker. She's an old hand at Traveling - she's a Moebius veteran, and was in the game for the Grid up through the end of the Escape from Junkworld Jaunt, and again from Villains and Vigilantes on through to the Haunted Isle Jaunt. She'll still recognize the people she met previously, and I'm always happy to hash out off-camera CR with other Moebius vets and/or characters who've been apped in as veterans of the Jaunts she's been on.

She's on Team Emperor, and I'm looking forward to tossing her at other Emperor-marked folks.

Hey everyone! This is Cheshire, returning with a new character: Ace, from Heart no Kuni no Alice! Actually, I've played him here before, a long time ago. (Marches of Purgatory, anyone?)

He's a generally cheerful kind of guy who happens to be, to quote someone from a different game long ago, "a killmonger midboss with almost total lack of affect." So he's not exactly a good person but he's generally nice, mostly. Ace won't be super happy to be back on Syn but sucks to be him!

He'll be joining Chariot, which I didn't really expect so I'm excited to see how they get on. Hello, fellow Chariots! :D

Fitting that a guy obsessed with the number two should be my second character. Pardon my dust as i redo Psii's journal, but please note i have a post for opting-out of his eccentric text formatting and me typing out his lisp in dialogue, as well as a general opt-out post if you don't want to play with a character who has an entire laundry list of content warnings, such as: casual violence, slavery, physical and mental abuse, sex jokes, bathroom humor, mind control (mention of), suicidal ideation, and an inaccurate representation of bipolar disorder (he's a different species as well as a grossly overextended duality metaphor, so YMMV).

For opt-ins, Psii sometimes has visions that prophesy bleak outcomes like death. He hears the psychic screams of the soon-to-be-deceased at all other times. Unless we plot something, I will assume Psii has NOT had clear enough premonitions about your character's death to identify them. Hi! I am fresh, brand new meat that was enabled named Kira and I am now here, after months of trying to figure out who to drag into this place, with Lena Oxton AKA Tracer! Feel free to be gentle with me because I'm still learning my way around and how everything works.

For those that are canon blind, Tracer here is a former agent of a badass group known as Overwatch that would go around the world and help put an end to wars. Naturally, though, people saw them as a threat and weakness to some countries and they got shut down. She also has a condition known as chronal disassociation which means she can basically disappear somewhere, uncontrollably, at a blink and get lost for days, weeks, months annnnd you probably get the point. Because of this, she has to wear a chronal accelerator just about 24-7 unless it's close to her. (Altho, this might change depending on her power capping, maybe?? ~a mystery~.)

Qrow Branwen is from the series called RWBY. He's the uncle of two of the main characters and always drunk. He's very cynical, blunt and coarse... but also very childish and sort a womanizer. He carries around a pocket flask and he can also turn into a crow. Caw caw.

IMPORTANT: He has an ability that causes Misfortune to happen around him, so I have made a opt-in/-out post on his journal you can use to tell me how bad you want it to be (if you want it).

Hey, guys! This is PG, player of Sabetha Belacoros and Princess Allura, and I'm bringing back River Tam from Firefly.

For those familiar with the canon, she's post-Serenity (the movie, not the episode). For those not familiar with the canon, River is the (flawed) product of an attempt by a shady government agency to turn teenagers with latent psionic abilities into living weapons. This means she has the ability to read minds and can take down a room full of grown bruisers or space zombies with minimal effort, but also means there's decent odds of her being paralyzed by her own trauma when things get chaotic. Her telepathy has been - much to her relief - nerfed down to Investigator Mind Reading, but I do have a permissions post for it over here because telepathy having an off switch is something she's still getting used to.

River was previously here from the Children of the Night Jaunt through Villains and Vigilantes, and has been returned via Dungeon with her memories intact, so she'll remember anyone she encountered during those Jaunts, and I'm happy to hash out some background CR with anyone who's apped in a vet from that periods.

This is Nea, player of Mikasa Ackerman and Korra, and I accidentally may have written an app for Usagi Tsukino from some super unknown series called Sailor Moon on last hours of this app round. Literally. It kind of went from suddenly feeling like reading Stars arc again to muse waking up ...and me going omg what if I brought Usagi to Syn just in time for Showtime to speedwriting samples and a few others things, that I needed to finish that last minute app.

Aaaaaand now this moon rabbit is actually really here even if I still can't believe it myself! If you don't know Usagi Tsukino, all you have to know is that she's extremely friendly, cheerful, social and here to befriend literally everyone because she is way too kind to hate anyone. I'm not sure how we are ever going to have enough food for her around but I guess stuff like Liminal Manipulation will help a lot with that. She's 16, engaged and been through a lot of fun, weird and horrible things in her life so I figure she'll fit here well. She's also a magical girl, who can transform into Eternal Sailor Moon aka that version which has wings on her back and makes speeches about being the soldier of love and justice, who will punish bad people in the name of the Moon.

She's from the Stars arc of the manga, right after jumping in to save everyone in the end but before she actually gets to do that to make sure they're all okay. Ooops. But that's okay, she'll be fine after her first shock of arriving here from that.

EVERYONE CAN FOURTH WALL HER, there, you have my permission if you want to do that even if your character would only be familiar with the anime version or both or whatever. Me or Usagi won't mind it at all, so go wild with it.

Usagi is in team Strength and she is not going to hide that detail at all. It's been a few years since I last played her, she literally jumped back last night all of a suddenly but I've been kind of half expecting it to happen just like this one day. MEET GIL RYANSON, another character from the New World of Darkness series - specifically, Changeling the Lost! Gil has had a fucked up few years of living with the Faerie, where he was forced to play the role of a monster in approximately a billion stage performances, very violently escaped by ripping off his Keeper's leg (yaaaaay username jokes) and has been trying to pretend to be normal back in the real world ever since!

He looks human, for the most part, but in actuality it's a magical illusion that certain people can see through - more info is available here, as well as a permissions post for if your character can see through it, as well as a few questions relates to Gil's spoopy bullshit power to know what other people are scared of.

Hello, this is Kaja, and I'm bringing you all my OC, Deimonea! Her deal's that she's a dream entity: an immaterial resident of the Dream World. Not only that, but she's a Nightmare, who basically inflicts, well, nightmares. She's actually well-known as an artist in the medium of nightmares, creating complex artistic nightmares (when she isn't feeling lazy and going for easy scares). The act of causing terror is itself food for her.

But she's actually a fairly inquisitive, friendly, fun troll. And if this was a game where she had her full abilities, I'd be putting a link to a permissions post here but as it turns out she can't do most of what she used to be able to do. You know, that whole telepathic network sapping telepathic abilities thing. And dream abilities count! So she's going to be somewhat frustrated at that. And then being tossed into a physical body's gonna really mess with her, because she's simply not used to having one. Or having to deal with things like concrete distances and steady geography and actual travel times and unchanging physics. You know, all that weirdness that comes with a physical world. Liminal space on the other hand's a lot like home to her!

So, yeah, I'm looking forward to all that! And to playing with you all.

Wow, clearly I have been out of games too long. So I'm Badge, and I am playing Hiroshi, main character of Ao Oni, winner of "Most Inexplicable Game to Create a Franchise Around" many years running. He's a huge nerd who really, really wishes he didn't have to believe in supernatural things, because them not existing would allow him +3 more friends than he currently has. He is also the least likely character you would expect to be the protagonist of a horror game, so of course this means that the franchise stuff all tries to sideline him. Then fails, because the fact that he's a nerd who somehow plays "final boy" is half the appeal of the character in the first place.

Anyway, he's a weird mish-mosh of canon and OCness because the original game had a barebones plot, so bear with him. Because he's a protagonist from a game that changes stuff up every version, and because I'm a huge dork for stupid meta-narratives, he's going to start remembering alternate versions of every jaunt he goes on. He should hopefully get approved for Questing Sense too as an equivalency of how it feels as a player to be playing a game that changes some things and not others. So hey.

Hi, I'm ten, I'm .. exceedingly new to the game and I've picked up Broly, one of the many disgustingly overpowered Dragon Ball characters out there in the universe. Happily he's going to be just as exceedingly nerfed and destroying galaxies ain't a thing anymore. So long as he's not currently blond Broly's a decent enough person to be around, and while he won't win any awards for genius he's not terribly given to being easily provoked unless you happen to be a screaming infant or a certain other saiyan. He's also pretty certain the only way he's not going to be horribly killed sooner or later is by figuring out this 'hero' thing and becoming one, so if anyone is particularly and obviously A Good Guy he may wind up being keenly interested in what they're doing.

He's been picked up by Tower, which is really no shock at all.

Hi, I'm brand new and typing this up really quick before running off to work! This is an original character of mine named Kohaku Yuhara. She's basically what you'd get if you took Haruhi from Ouran Host Club and replaced the main character of a crappy sci-fi harem show. Most of her classmates think she's a boy on account of she came from an all-boys school (don't ask) and she generally dresses like a boy, and she generally doesn't correct them because she's found people take her more seriously if they think she's a boy.

She's also coming here from a special school for people who have been infected by alien symbiotic life forms that grant people superpowers. Kohaku's power is superhuman reflexes and hyper acute senses. Here, she's been picked by The Hermit.
