After taking a moment to gather some options, we've sorted out candidates for the upcoming walkabout. They are:

A Looming Sense of Dread: A remote island in Questing Country, sealed off in a bygone era, is now unsealed, as the magic keeping the seals in place has degraded. The island is infested with an abnormally large number of nightmares; the concern is that these nightmares will spread beyond this island to the rest of Questing Country proper. This walkabout is set in the Starquake/'future' era of Questing Country as seen during Ouroboros Retrograde.

Majesty's House Cup: At Her Majesty’s Royal Academy of the Arts (Majesty’s for short), a prestigious boarding school for Britain’s most talented (or most well connected), students learn to harness the magic of creation. In this world, art is literally magic. And now it’s time for the school’s House Cup. Who will win the most house points? Who will lose the most house points? And, most importantly, who will win the Final Art Competition?

Welcome to the Synodiporia Test Drive Meme! Below the cuts there are three new prompts, and here are the prompts from previous test-drives, which you’re still welcome to use in this post. When you comment, be sure you specify what prompt you want to play with, and please put up your own threadstarter—it makes for a much more friendly environment than a forest of bare toplevels! OCs are especially welcome! Please take a quick look at our Directory & familiarize yourself with the concept and setting of the game before you jump in.

Our current app round runs May 1-7, during which time the current members of the game will be voting on the next Walkabout. The May-June jaunt will be Beastfolk: A Pastoral, in which the Travelers will have to determine what is going on with a colony of half-animal, half-humans. Our Walkabout options can be previewed in the test drive prompt!

Prompt #70 is a visit to Questing Country, where dreams have considerable power and infinite potential, in a lull between nightmares.
Prompt #71 covers the end-of-year rodeo at Lone Star Academy, a school for students of magical art of all kinds.
Prompt #72 is a Liminal Space of even less substance than usual - or so it seems.
