It’s come to our attention that tensions are especially high this jaunt, which has also resulted in a higher-than-usual number of player complaints. We respect that many players and characters alike are particularly hopeful for a certain outcome, and that while nothing is set in stone yet it’s easy to get caught up in figuring out how to bring that about.
That said, OOC chatter is getting more and more extreme on the topic, resulting in a difficult plotting environment for many players. It also feels like people are more easily assuming a given outcome is written in stone and reacting accordingly. So, two things to keep in mind:
1) NOTHING IS WRITTEN IN STONE YET. There is still time for the jaunt’s outcome to swing in one of several directions; whether it’ll be the one most players and characters want to see, we cannot promise, but this is the time to take action if you’d like to affect the outcome.
2) PLEASE MIND YOUR OOC CHATTER. We’re all pretty tense right now, and a little care in how you express ‘my character would take X action here’ can help prevent that tension from boiling over into nastiness.
A full State of the Game post will be up Thursday to give everyone a forum to discuss current difficulties, including giving feedback to the mod team on how we can make this easier on everyone. We’re asking in advance that everyone stay courteous & constructive, and we will be doing our best to keep the atmosphere of the post polite & open to all perspectives.
