It's time to vote on the next Jaunt setting! And with summer ahead (or winter for a handful of you), what better time to have a vacation Jaunt? Of course, just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you'll get to relax. Far from it. And so, your next Jaunt options are as follows:
Showtime: The year is 198x and with two insanely popular rival bands as headliners, the Starlight Music Festival promises to be a truly outrageous long weekend. At least until one of the supporting acts goes mysteriously missing--something that is only complicated further by an undercover secret agent, a very unusual roadie, and some interstellar technology inadvertently placed in human hands. Can the Travelers fill in for the missing act--and more importantly, will they be able to find where they’ve gone? And what secrets are the music festival’s headliners hiding? Glamor and glitter, secrets and shames, this musical adventure with a light sci-fi element is here to rock your socks off. Along with Mr Boddy, it runs on an accelerated time scale where one week OOC equals one day IC.
Midsummer Night’s Fete: It is tradition at the Midsummer Festival to forgive old grudges, forge new friendships, and approach the coming harvest with a clean slate. That is why the Magistrate of the Illustrious City-State of Panowa has invited ambassadors of its two warring neighbors, the Empire of Palas and the Dominion of Karnata, to come to their peaceful fete in the hopes of securing the unsteady truce that could end a centuries-long feud. But some have been profiting off the war, and would hate to see peace brokered in Panowa. Can the Travelers enjoy themselves at the festival and still manage to keep the peace? A mostly light-hearted Festival Episode scenario with some political intrigue and sneaky subterfuge mixed in for the folks who want more than slice-of-life.
Who Killed Mr. Boddy?: It’s the destination wedding of the year, at a beautiful beach resort on a lonely tropical paradise island, for the favored grandchild of a prominent businessman. Or, well, it would be, but the wedding’s benefactor turns up dead in his hotel room with only a week to go before the wedding. With a resort now on lockdown, a wedding party bristling with motives, and old family grudges rearing their heads, it’s up to the Travelers to figure out what is important, what isn’t, and who the culprit might be. As with Showtime, it runs on an accelerated time scale where one week OOC equals one day IC.
Voting will close Tuesday, May 9th, at 5:59 PM CST, in order to allow time for a walkabout vote if necessary, and for both jaunt and walkabout to be finalized. As always, first-place votes count for two points each, and second-place votes for one point each.
