So, it's nice to meet all of you! My name is Stareyes, and I specialize in playing obscure book characters and stuff from 90s/00s anime. Today's selection from the former is Jade from The Books of the Raksura series by Martha Wells. She's a Raksura, which are... well, matriarchal forest-dwelling kinda-dragony/gargolyey-or-something shapeshifters. Though in Jade's case, she can only go from 'form with 20-foot wingspan' and 'form without 20-foot wingspan'. (Seriously, Raksura have wings actually look feasible to lift a person, but it's a good thing they can shape-shift them away when not flying.)

Jade is the heir to running a settlement the size of a small town that has been having a run of Interesting Times, and she'd been looking forward to a life where the most exciting things were cleaning out clogged drains, dealing with young idiots, and 'ensuring proper succession' with her consort. She's relatively comfortable with dealing with non-Raksura, but she's usually done it with advice because diplomacy is hard enough when you share a species with people.

If you do know the canon, she's coming in decidedly pre-The Dark Earth Below, because the only thing that will make her more annoyed than being kidnapped is being kidnapped right after giving birth.

Anyway, I'm open to plotting and advice on getting into things as a newbie. My plurk is at beccastareyes

SO. Uh. Hi. I'm brand-spankin new here and I brought you guys some dude from some musical you might have heard of? It's kind of popular these days. I'm Mandy, enabled over here by KM and Birdie, and I specialize in snarky assholes that want to fight the entire universe. So, I brought you Alexander Hamilton, from the epic Broadway awesomeness that is Hamilton.

Obviously, he doesn't look like the ACTUAL historical Hamilton because he is played by the all-around awesome person known as Lin-Manuel Miranda, but if you tell him that he will probably try and fight you. Somehow. He will fight anyone, including himself, and that's sadly not an exaggeration. >> Anyway, he's coming from the end of the musical, so he's just been shot in a duel in 1804, and so....will be very confused. (I will, hopefully, be less confused.) If you have a need for a self-taught pain-in-the-ass lawyer, treasury secretary, and politician, you can hit up this guy!
