The log on the attack is here! The gigodaemon siege may or may not last all week, depending on how and where Programs trally and what they plan.
Anyone in an occupied square in the Frontier or Wastelands, will be at increased risk of attack. However, if the attacks aren’t repelled, some squares may be occupied or destroyed. Unlike exploration, it’s less clear just how much work it will take to defend an area - however, it’s certain to be at least five or ten Programs with solid armament and combat ability. Other Programs can aid by scouting, scanning, evacuating equipment, driving vehicles, or attempting to repair the damaged code the gigodaemons leave in their wake, so there are tasks to be done outside of direct combat as well.
One Recognizer loaded with troops and bombs is probably roughly an even match for a gigodaemon, not counting its escort - but it risks an equal chance of destruction unless it has ground support or support from the firewall.
