BEASTFOLK: A PLOT INFO
a Pastoral
May 15 - June 24
The Beastfolk of Home have been scratching out a living in their little corner of a highly dangerous world for over a century now, making the most of the few resources they have and relying on oral tradition and the strange visions of their seers to keep themselves going. But when a strange creature - that only one of the village elders recognises as a mythical human - stumbles into their enclave from beyond the desert and the latest group of foundling Beastfolk to arrive on Gods’ Isle is considerably larger than usual, questions about just what brought them there and how to move forward begin to arise…

Re: QUESTIONS
If someone would like to be(come) an investigator with the human group it would be much more workable to either arrange a de-infiltration, or to use infiltrator persona.
If being with the humans is a big draw or important, but infiltration Can't Happen for a reason, I'm willing to make every effort to work out a way for it to happen, but it will require one-on-one chats, I think, to sort out all the tricky bits and bobs.

Re: QUESTIONS
But as long as they could contribute in a meaningful way, they wouldn't be forced into it! Still, the dangers of the setting mean that life expectancy tends to be lower. Anyone who's lived for 40 years or more would be considered an Elder, because a lot of folk end up getting killed before they've been in Home that long. And Foundlings coming in at such a wide variation in ages mean that someone can become a dad-type even at a really young age (or dad folk chronologically much older than them).
So it's flexible!

The investigator would most likely be left on the isle, since something obviously went wrong somehow, or the gods were angry with this foundling.
The exception would be if the wound looked super fresh (as if the foundling had just had a tangle with a needle-fish or something). In that case, there would be pressure to go back to the Gods on the Day of farewell, but the foundling would be cared for in the meantime.

If Casper tried to sense power levels (basically) on the midges, would he get anything?

However, some born folk do decide to have children of their own, especially if they have only very minor issues, or no apparent issues at all.

1) Toxins
2) Poisonous atmosphere
I'd rather not assume myself. Thank you in advance!
Re: QUESTIONS
Does the status effect take place immediately (ie is it magic?), or does it work like actual medicine and needs to be digested/absorbed into the body first?
Does the effect continue on after the food has been eaten for a time?
Does it provide anything extra, or just neutralise poisons? (ie if there's a poison that, say, drags the potassium/calcium etc ions out of the cells, does it just stop the poison working, or does it also put the stuff back?)
