ESCAPE FROM JUNKWORLD: NATURAL RESOURCES WALKABOUT INFO

Escape from Junkworld: Natural Resources
An outer space exploradora
September 19th–October 29th

It’s been two years since the Junkworld refugees finally reached the isolated smugglers’ moon known only by its alphanumerical designation of S16P3J4W11V18. These last two years, the mixed settlement of smugglers and Junkworlders have been taking advantage of the abundant nearby natural resources--and made a tidy profit at Portabellow Station--and now they’re finally ready to push out further and see what other resources this forest moon has to offer. And when a group of Travelers arrive just as the exploration expedition is about to set out, it’s assumed that they’re newcomers to the smugglers’ moon and welcomed to come along...

We're assuming that they're keeping up their QC duties while they sleep, as per usual, but we won't be making any mingles for it. It's all very background handwave stuff.

Cool, makes sense! How does this Walkabout fit in timewise against the Ouroboros/Starquake/Harbinger stuff from last Jaunt? Before? After?

Also, what's the night/day/etc cycle like on the moon? Is it tidally locked to its gas giant parent like is common for big satellites and our moon (aka 'shows the same side to the planet at all times'), or does it rotate on its own? If the former, is the gas giant visible in the sky from the colony area?
(Things that are important when you play an astronomy geek, ugh.)

About half a year after!

I'll get back to you about the orbit stuff after I take a long rest.

Actually, since you're the astronomy geek's player, why don't we just go with what you find most interesting? Because honestly I'm good either way.
