Ignis is going to be going on this, probably with Prompto. And yes, this basically going to be spoilers from here on out.
If anyone wants to befriend him so that Prompto isn't the only one with him most of the time (Jauntabouts are different than Liminal Space, and not safe for him to practice learning to use his new and much improved sight cane by himself), that would be great. He'll also probably want to try tackling wilderness again at least once now that he's got the proper sort of cane.
Depending on if it's possible (AKA the parts are available), Prompto might be ganking the plans of how to build a prosthetic eye to replace the one he's lost entirely. That's going to be a longer plot since it'll take a while to even convince Ignis to have it installed and potentially needing someone to install it. Because of how he lost his sight, it's not going to function properly despite being functionally perfect, but I'm not sure how yet.
So basically: looking for a buddy to walk around with! We can potentially handwave some CR if timing makes it hard to do introduction threads.
Shinji is going to be investiGorgoning, because I have a deep need to make him 'purple' and cranky. (Not actually purple; he's going to match the color of his coat quite nicely. And 'cranky' is his default state, so that won't really be any different.)
Kanji is infiltrating this time out, and anyone who was around for Junkworld the first might recognise the overlay. This is Kyan, the Empress of Moths' navigator and astronomy/communications buff who first discovered the Tachyon Song Storm.
He's a weird Hecatite nerd, born on the Junkworld, who's going exploring to look for good places to put up communications relays and transmission towers. While he's at it, he might just be taking some observations of the stars and planets visible... However, even by Hecatite standards he's kind of fragile, and not in the best health; he's not entirely able to control his crystal growth properly, and has a prosthetic arm made by one Lapis (aka Naoto's previous overlay and his significant shiny). Someone needs to make sure he's not going to push himself too hard...
I'm considering having this be an Infiltrator Persona for the start of the Jaunt, but not sure about that given Kanji's raging case of the angst at present.
Dakki is going to be infiltrating a synth lumberjack! She's okay I see her as some sort of household/non-combat model of synth that has been heavily overhauled and modified over time, because gosh darn it she really likes the outdoors. And also chopping down pieces of the outdoors. She is following her dream!
If we have a lack of investigators, she's got Infiltrator Persona available to turn on. I may or may not have her using it? Dunno? We'll see!
Pidge is Infiltrating as a Synthetic. [name here] is nonbinary and they are good at fixing and helping out with Cybernetics, building stuff from scraps and fixing things. They're also good with hacking and other computer things.
Mamoru is investigating as a golden danburite crystal hecatite.
Naoki is going to be on this side of the split, but I'm still not sure about investigating/infiltrating/infilsonaing. Or whether he'd be reprising Nikias from the first Junkworld jaunt or not.
Minako, Cassandra, and Yukino are all going to be Investigating. Minako and Cassandra will be human (or human-ish, in Cassandra's case), while Yukki is going to be either a Gorgon or a Hecatite; I still haven't decided yet.
