Shinji is in the pot for a plot role. He's probably infiltrating as a Stonefolk either way, since the day before jaunt start is. Not a good one, for him, so otherwise I'm not sure he'd be arsed to do much.

Heads up that I'll probably not be around the first week of November for reasons. Between that and Bernthotep being a thing, no plot roles for me.
Sara is going to be what she was always meant to be: a small pastel horse. She's probably investigating and is going to be hunting for that alchemy skill this Jaunt, probably stumbling into the basics completely by accident just because she likes to cook.To continue the cactusade joke, of course.
Bernkastel will be infiltrating as a relatively carefree middle schooler named Rika Furude, a name that everyone who cleared her Dungeon will recognize. She does wonder out loud Freaking Magic, How Does It Work, with all the singing that entails - she's planning on eventually making a study of it and growing up to be an enchantress like the other Furudes, way off in the future of College And Adulthood.
This may be Justice attempting to give her a Jaunt off after making her suffer as the villain of the last one.

So quick tentative rundown for my three while I'm on mobile...
Hajime will be infiltrating as a Forest Folk goatbecause Kenzaki is forever doomed to wrestle goats with Ryo as his young son. I figure his mate either went feral or he's adopted his sister's kid because she went feral...but I'm also open for someone to play Mom just to make things complicated.

Dakki will be infiltrating as some kind of Forestfolk bird, and for once, Rappy will come along, too! They're going to be adventure buddies. Also, I'd like her to be apprenticing to learn the brewing stuff, or perhaps she learned it from her granny or whatnot... so if there are others interested in brewing up fun beverages, she's your robot bird!

Tachibana, I'm going to attempt for his first plot role, but either way, gonna be infiltrating as a human, hopefully getting to work on the archeological dig because canon parallels (but with less explosions). Garren is going to be infiltrating along with him as his 8ish-year old son who doesn't talk much after his mom died (two guesses who the mom was, you shouldn't need more than one).

I am 100% up for like-minded fellows and possibly ancient Stonefolk or cute animal people who want to be bothered for magic science whichever one Battler doesn't believe in right now.

Drizzt is going to a pastel purple kitten. Even though he's an Investigator, or maybe especially because he's an Investigator, I think it would be hilarious if some Infiltrators are basically like "what no you can't go off on your own". Especially if he fails at listening over the network about stuff he should know, or things aren't discussed.

Lyall is infiltrating as a Forest Folk, because that'll be cute, and I want SOMEBODY to be fully infiltrated on this Jaunt dammit. No real plans for him besides that. Give him some pre-Jaunt CR, anybody? Family? Kids? Significant other(s)?
Stone is brand new and investigating, because having him have to be human but gray-skinned and sharp-toothed and accidentally scaring someone by shifting at the wrong time and place is too good to pass up. Plus, it's way too early to get him a smaller scaled flying form, I intend to play with his awkward size when shifted for as long as possible. He'll be poking around mostly human-side.
Riddick as a pre-Moebius vet has been here before, but I don't know in what capacity yet. I am waiting for the mad-lib to come out Saturday :P He might be investigating, but he might be infiltrator-persona-ing, but either way his brain will be at least partially his own so he can get flashbacks.

Ambrose is also Forest Folk-filtrating,so if Lyall wants/needs a frand (or sibling or other relation, Brose is going to be a bobcat and we won't want to offend his canine sensibilities) he's down for that. I'm vaguely thinking of him dabbling in potions/exploring the world beyond the Wood, so if either of those pings Lyall we can do a thing.
Naoki is going to be doing his first-ever infiltrator persona, with the Forest Folk. (He is not going to be terribly pleased about the shape, which I haven't settled on - so far badger or hedgehog are the most likely.) His overlay is working on the going-feral problem.

Kanji is back to straight up Infiltrating this go round, going by "Kyoto". He's your friendly - well, when he's not distracted and generally on a mission - Stonefolk Leader. He has a head full of big ideas for ways to make his folks' life better and what human society and innovation could do for them, but... um... he gets carried away...

The Doctor will be investigating. On the human side of things, because the the Stonefolk and Forestfolk are too close to other creatures he's encountered for him not to do shenanigans with that.

Natsumi will also be Infiltrating, but she's going to be arriving a little late due to being dungeon right now. Once she comes out, I do hope that I can have her Infiltrating as either the Personal Assistant to the Wealthy Industrialist, or just a rival CEO. Either way, she's going to be a vain, not-so-good-hearted lady that might care about one or two people other than herself...and hopefully realize how Very Important they are to her compared to her more selfish needs and goals.

Jean (Alex(andra)) will be infiltrating as a human who has quite a lot of interest in magic and practicing it, using it to experiment on things. She's aiming to become good at using magic in creative and useful ways. She also has a Corporal Sponsorship from Bea's overlay.
That's right. He's girl who's pretending to be a guy, because I've wanted to do that for a while. She feels she'll get more recognition as a male. It's something she herself is convinced about because of her parents who thought she'd just be a pretty face and marry someone and be a quiet wife.

Ambrose is going to be infiltrating as a peacock blue Forest Folk bobcat. He is a scruffy middle-aged fellow who enjoys doing a bit of exploring and has visited some other settlements, but is glad to be home in Centenary Wood. He dabbles in potion brewing of the experimental sort, and is curious about any new innovations on that front.

Wanna be at least passing acquaintances with the local Lord of the Manor? Spruce lost a younger brother when he went wandering to other settlements and disappeared, so he probably asks Ambrose for news of him every time he gets back from exploring.
And that leaves Claudia, who I think will be my token human investigator. She's going to try to weasel her way into the archeology stuff Because Artifacts.

Spruce's father died defending the hall against a feral bear, and his mother caught pnumonia one hard winter digging out some trapped town residents so they could come stay at the Hall. It's been Spruce by himself ever since. He only really lost hope that Kindle was alive and well about 2 years back. Kindle Badger was restless and wanted to explore and went on a journey to another far off settlement... but he never made it there. Everyone assumes he was killed or went feral. He got quieter and stopped visiting the hospital wing of Brock Hall quite so frequently.
Lord Spruce, affectionately known as Stripesnout behind his back, is a gentle soul, fond of long walks and helping woodlanders excavate or build or stockpile food, whathaveyou. His door is always open to those in need of shelter or a simple listening ear. Best friends with a young, roguish dogfox, Reynard (Matt). Spruce does have the familiar family berserker rage problem. He's cool and steady until he gets into melee. Then it's teeth and heavy metal gauntlets and sharpened claws. He helps protect the intelligent Forest Folk from the ferals. Because of that he has some serious scarring, especially visible about the face. Can't cook to save his soul. Can't make potions. It's like cooking but worse. Doesn't mind humans - they're here to stay. He's more concerned with maintaining the sanctity of the wood and stopping this creeping feral plague.
Any Forest Folk either Infiltrators or Investigators may handwave that they are staying in Brock Hall and interact therein. Just let me know if you venture into the locked areas, or want to discover a secret passage or door or sneak into Spruce's chambers.

Steadfastly believes that there are Forest Folk and Stonefolk out there somewhere because he can't bear the thought of them being gone. Has gone a little X-files with collecting sightings and stories of them and will 100% debate you on the topic v. indignantly. Single, probably has magically better eyesight in lower light. Keeps his area of the archives spotlessly clean and smelling of lavender and vanilla and has tea on for use when no scrolls or books are being examined. Likes to go on long walks near the edges of the city looking for signs of Folk.
