Yosuke (infiltrator name pending, please help) is going to be Infiltrating as one of the Gelus Vitae saloon keepers. While he's mostly cheerful and borderline flirty, he's a freaking scaredy cat everyone anyone wants to start a fight in the saloon. Also pretty professional at the art of YEET. Makes good drinks though.
Pidge is most likely investigating and babysitting Lotor. Yeehaw?
Stone is infiltrating, so I can background him if I have to, and also I can't resist an old cowboy. If there are horses, he will have a blue roan mare who is Azure. If there are no horses, then she will be a dog. If she's not a dog... uh. I don't know what to do with her. I'll think of something. Goal will be to pick up animal husbandry here, because the guy whose people never even considered domesticating animals needs to know how to domesticate animals, okay. It is hilarious to me. Not sure yet if he's gonna be a cowherd for the corp guys or the cattle thieves yet.
Riddicktotally remembers being here before guys :D He's one of the ones who actually WAS HERE last time. I dunno how that will work, if I get to play two of him? Old one and new one? It might be fun to revisit him as he was back then, extremely grumpy and unpleasant... I just plan in investigating, rather than persona-ing, to get the full range of his confusion and leading the way on this with Beatrice and any others who might be involved in this.
Taichi "Lefty" Shirai. 6 foot 3 inches. Scarred across the face. Missing his right arm from the shoulder down. Odd jobs, sells vegetables and eggs. Painkiller junkie and alcoholic.
A jaded ex-outlaw, injured in a stampede last year and unable to resume outlaw duties. He used to be extremely well known, charming, daring, accomplished. Now he raises Space Chickens and takes care of a little garden patch in the back of a carefully maintained but tiny house with a Space Dog. He can't afford a prosthetic, so he's down to one arm. Sells his veggies and eggs and the occasional poulet.
He's tired and jaded, at 26, and trying to figure out how to rethink his entire life now that nothing is going where it used to be.
Gil will be Infiltrating as the Rock Ridge Mayor, Garrett Ivanhoe! Not necessarily loved but at the very least appreciated for managing to keep Erebus and their bullshit to a minimum for Ridge Rock; probably in part as well because he is extremely willing to turn a blind eye to whatever smuggler antics are happening around him. As long as there's plausible deniability, he's got you. And if there's not, you've got til the count of three before he calls his genuinely food friend, the sheriff.
He is not a cowboy. He is a political who happens to live where there's horses. He does own and can ride one, at least.
Kinji is Investigating! Let's put those cowboy ninja skills to the test!!
Kenzaki will be infiltrating as Rock Ridge's doctor! (Or possibly one of two doctors, if someone else also wants to be a doctor. I am totally open to additional doctoring.) Because every small town needs someone to take care of the injuries and illnesses that are sure to crop up, right? And if he has to look the other way when it comes to where those injuries come from, well...
Nero is, barring some sudden revelation from above, going to finally investigate.
Sara is going to be some manner of Infiltrated - depending on how my questions about cool mecha farm equipment goes, she's either going to be a secret bandit or a farmgirl sympathizer. I would really appreciate infilfamily/infilCR for her, either way!
Berne might be halfvestigating as Nabiki Tendo. If not, she's probably Sir Not Appearing on the Jaunt.
Matthew and Xena are both investigating. Xena's going to be my main focus this jaunt, since I plan for her to get heavily involved in the cattle rustling. Matthew's going to hang around the city and refuse to have anything to do with cows, but will still be available for bridging and liminal delegate shenanigans as needed.
Wash and Rose will be investigating. Wash will spend more than a bit of the Jaunt complaining that he made it VERY CLEAR he was never dealing with black market cattle again!
Jaina I've put in for a truly ridiculous double infiltration. SHe will be a smuggler regardless.
Minerva will be Minnie the local school marm, because every Western needs a school marm. I'm always up for infilfam for her.
Death will be... considering my ridiculous plan for Jaina involves smuggling, we'll make her a deputy of some sort.
Father Marcus would definitely bring (gently used) books to the school regularly, as well as whatever other school supplies he can manage to get his hands on for them.
Amity Soiree. 5 foot 2 inches, 120 lbs, long white hair, slender, dark eyes with long lashes and a smirk to set any cowboy's blood alight. Barmaid and server at the local saloon.
Second generation Martian, knows all the smugglers, can get you good deals on any drugs you like if you can pay her fee and you're not stupid about asking. But she's also the one to go to on the sly if you want to get your kid off-world. She'll find a way to smuggle them out at the earliest opportunity. Always manages to juuuust slip out of charges for criminal acts. Charged, but charges withdrawn - common in her criminal record. She knows her way around a laser rifle and handguns, and lives in a tiny house not far from the saloon.
Flirts outrageously but never follows through. Some say she's cold as ice, others say she's waiting for some childhood sweetheart.
Tachibana will be investigating, acting as a medic because I'm sure it'll be pretty clear that it'll be needed. Garren will be with him in puppy form! And he'll likely be smuggling in supplies from Liminal once he realizes how impoverished the area is.
Meaning it's quite likely someone's gonna think he's some well-to-do sort if you ignore how he dresses and he'll likely make some cover story how he's paying back his medical training by providing it to impoverished and underserved populations.
...and likely will wind up using his healing powers in a way he can't just explain away because helping people always takes priority to self preservation.
Ambrose is going to be infiltrating as shady gambler Ambrose Long. He's a former cattle rustler but retired due to injury and is now living the "quiet" life in Ridge Rock. An early investor in the Schiaparelli-Lowell Canals, he makes his legitimate living as a repair man for your mechanical woes.
LOOKING FOR: infilfam (I have a couple bites but nothing solid yet), former rustler associates, people who owe him money/people who he owes money to, whatever.
Hajime is going to be infiltrating as the Cockroach Kid, [real name redacted], an outlaw who should probably be dead but is notoriously difficult to kill thanks to a combination of toughness, determination, and sheer dumb luck. Ryo will be infiltrating alongside him as his trusty pony, for the Kid thought he was just stealing a young horse, and no, no, it's a pony, he got himself a pony, and now the pony's too attached to get rid of. (A+ Quality Outlaw right here.) I am up for all the CR with this disaster.
Sento will be remaining himself because Mars, this is Mars, gotta find Pandora's Box and he's basically going to need someone to keep him from wandering off to look for artifacts that just don't exist in any world outside his own.
Jesse McCree will be investigating and having a grand old time is space Old West.
Eliot Waugh will be infiltrating as Elliot "Eli" Williams, the owner of the Bee & Key, a small saloon/gambling establishment/house of ill repute that is in competition with the chain saloon. Eli mainly he competes through underhanded, dirty means. A lot of illegal activity takes here, and it's probably on the edge of one of the settlements. Eli is not a nice guy, and can be incredibly cutthroat, but he is charming and has just enough palms greased to stay in business. Looking for any smugglers or shady types that maybe hang out there.
Colonel Tick-Tock will be ... hell if I know. TBD.
Malik is infiltrating as Father Marcus, a (one armed) Space Priest who goes between settlements providing aid and to folks. (Every Western needs a priest) He's likely officiated most weddings in the past few years, as well as funerals. He doesn't generally give sermons except on holidays and unless requested by folks. Even then he's more likely to just sit with someone on their porch and chat.
He came to Mars from Earth 5-6 years ago, and travels around in a truck.
He was also very much so not a Priest on earth.
Keith is Shiro's Brother, and does handyman and mechanic work around town and is generally slightly disapproving of the outlaws current shenanigans but won't do much more than grumble about it.
Altaïr (infilname pending) may have Totally Not Confession chats with the Father.
He may be familiar with Keith, since his Plot Role is an old friend of Shiro's. However, he plays cards close to his chest, I doubt he's even given a real name. But I think it will be apparent that he cares about Shiro and is angry that he was hurt.
Melissa is your resident sheriff. She doesn't really give a rats ass about either side of the conflict, but she does care about THE LAW. She suspects that a lot of the town are aiding the outlaws, and she is very disappointed in all of you. She doesn't care if it makes her unpopular, she will uphold the law and try to keep order. She is probably on reasonably good terms with any towns folk who aren't known outlaws, but the rest of you...
Also I would LOVE it if someone wanted to be the deputy.
Pearl is glitching to be Franziska von Karma, in one capacity or another, something that Pearl is not going to like at all after the fact. I'm open to LITERALLY ANYTHING, I was not expecting this, what am I doing. XD
Casper is infiltrating as the Cattle Heist Ringleader, name tbd. He's the guy who helps out anyone and everyone, does a lot of handyman work around the town, gets put in and out of jail/community service when his antics get a little out of control...
... Basically he's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man dashing antihero. He wants to help you all out! Let him help!
Altaïr, name also TBD, thinks your screening process sucks! He'll threaten to put a bullet in anyone endangering the rest, turning from patient teacher dad friend to scary gun dad friend as fast as he can draw.
Allura will be Halfvestigating as King Alfor, because apparently there aren't enough daddy issues in Voltron already.
He's coming from his Red Paladin days, well before the war, so he'll be a dashing, friendly warrior-engineer still full of hope for the universe. Expect to find him shoulders-deep in some piece of local machinery within about five minutes of arriving. He's helping! (No, really, he's very, very good at what he does.)
He's going to be very curious-slash-concerned about this sudden influx of strange people claiming to be long term Travelers, and will be poking at the metaplot from the early Traveler end if he gets a chance. In terms of actual Jaunt plot, he'll probably start out on the side of the law because in his experience, space criminals are much less about their own survival and much more about their enrichment at the expense of everyone else's survival...but since he's Neutral Good to the bone he could probably be swayed once he gets a clearer picture of how terrible Erebus Corp is.
I have no concrete plans but hey Alfor want a fanboy who resembles one of your bffs to follow you around like an Alteaboo because honestly whether or not you do it's probably going to happen.
Utsusemimaru will be Infiltrating as Ulrich Haas, a 19-year-old, relative newcomer to Mars, and your resident fish-out-of-water. He's willing to share the contents of those care packages he receives from family in his eagerness to make friends. So if his friends point out that there should be more for everyone to share, well, he just might get roped into bending a few laws.
Lotor's investigating since I'm new and not too smart /shrugs
He's incredibly intelligent but still really confused about Jaunts in general so he may need some legitimate babysitting. He may commune with the cows and his best to help with whatever he deems most useful.
Well, let's be real, he's not going to keep anyone out of trouble, but he's familiar enough with Traveling to know how and when to make getting into trouble effective.
Please stop talking to the Infiltrators you recognize like they should recognize you, Lotor, you're going to freak them out.
Daneel is going to be the sheriff's deputy. Dan (it's always Dan) is a warm, idealistic, and honest person who really honestly got into law enforcement to help protect people. Probably he's gonna be a bit sympathetic to the rustlers, because yeah, shit isn't fair! But you can't just go be a vigilante either! He was born on Mars and has never known any other place.
Lady can be a pony or a pupper or a motorbike or...something.
Anyway. Hello friend! Can he call him Danny friend, it's been a few years since he's had to arrest him. Come down to the saloon, he'll buy you a drink. Or your first hand at the games table.
Sansa is investigating, and will be using her weirdly large assortment of fashion related skills to try and help her fellow travelers blend in. She can also be found cringing at the copious amounts of dirt pretty much non-stop.
