Hello! I'm Bramble, and I'm new here. You can find me over at bramblepatch if you want to chat.

I'm bringing in Lydain Pelkys, an original character from my overly-ambitious and indefinitely-hiatused Gamzee-centric Homestuck fanfiction, Miracle Child. For those of you who were not in the "far too many feelings about horrible troll clowns" corner of the Homestuck fandom a few years back, she comes from an AU where the Alternian species and civilization did not come to an abrupt end on Karkat Vantas's sixth wriggling day, and now everyone has to deal with being a kid and growing up. Specifically, Lydain is one of Gamzee's classmates in the Subjugglator training program.

Lydain's about nineteen years old - not quite nine sweeps, as she'd measure it - and a deeply devout adherent of the Cult of the Mirthful Messiahs, because among trolls the circus is literally a doomsday cult. She's cheerful, playful, and ever so casually bloodthirsty. I'm sure you'll all get along fine.

Hiya! Welcome! :) I'm Gail, and I've got four characters here. This one is Randolph Lyall, a werewolf from Victorian London where the supernatural is part of high society-- and also a high school biology teacher from New Jersey. He's post-game from Save the Earth, ahaha. It's complicated.

Also got Richard B. Riddick, badass asshole prison escapee who can see in the dark; Neeshka, a tiefling thief from an old DnD-based computer game; and Zoe Washburne, warrior-woman type from the short-lived show Firefly.

I don't know a whole lot about Homestuck, but I welcome learning more about it and building some CR! Lydain and Neeshka might have something in common, in particular, both being cheerful, playful, and casually bloodthirsty.

Yeah, I'd have a hard time with her, too XD I even at times have a hard time with Lyall, as his canon self, but he's got some reincarnation shit going on, so he's got some modern aspects, too, which helps temper the hard bits :B

Haha, I understand the impulse to Homestuck AU everything, I have so many headcanons about the troll versions of shows that probably don't need troll versions.

Well this is their canon art, and then we cyberpunk AU'd them (which is the versions in game) and a HS AU was so easy.... Seriously, if they had the concept of 'moirail' they would have so many fewer emotional problems.

I may have a giant Gundam 00 HS AU a friend and I plotted that I keep meaning to write up, too >_>

One of my other fantrolls - Ammond, a yellowblood who's a little too interested in biopsionic engineering, I had her in Jarjammed and now she's at We the Lost - is super into Troll Firefly. Not that she'd admit it. Because it's a weirdly idealistic portrayal of helming (Serenity is literally the tenth character and a full member of the crew) and Troll Joss Whedon is kind of a creep. Also the show got pulled after its first season because someone at the Wild Canid TV Network got uncomfortable with the increasingly anti-imperial tone so it never got an official DVD release and it's hard to find some of the episodes.

I'm a big fan of AUs and a small fan of Homestuck, and I've been very curious to have trolls/HS cast here for a long time, so I'm really glad you're joining us!

I'm excited to be here! The AU Lydain comes from is Alternian-universe specific and in a lot of ways thoroughly extrapolated from a fairly shaky canon basis because Hussie cannot worldbuild his way out of a wet paper bag so if we ever get any Sburb/Sgrub players she'll be as out of the loop as anyone.

By which I mean I would love to get more fantrolls and/or canon homestucks for her to be confused at, of course.

I'm Bear, and I've got two. This guy is a combat AI (and a partly reincarnated rebel leader. it's complicated) who's also been infected with a demon "virus" and sometimes turns into a giant three headed hellhound. He's also an obligate cannibal so... if anything about that might be an issue, do check into his opt-out post on his journal.

My other character is an AU Ryoutarou Doujima from Persona 4. He's a detective who's learning how to suck less at life-outside-of-policework, and in his AU recently got the ability to summon part of his soul to fight shadows.

Digital Devil Saga is kind of obscure (subject matter and all) so I'm not surprised, but yesss, it'll be interesting! Lupa will be so interested in the color thing. (Colors are tied up into identity for him, but in a different way from trolls. Each tribe had one, and his tribe is white (hence all the white in his icons), and the other tribe represented in game is identified by orange)

Well, TBH most trolls would side-eye her so hard due to the clown thing, she's pretty used to it. By which I mean "makes a token attempt at friendliness and then gets prickly and suspicious back," generally. You can't win 'em all.
