Infiltrator CR Meme!

Once you've decided what role you want to play as an infiltrator, brainwashed to believe you belong in 1930s Brooklyn, this is the place to talk with other players about shared backstory and relationships you'd like to plan out for the plot. If you're playing a plot-important role, we'd ask that you not disclose any plot secrets here, obviously, and for ease of identification we ask that characters not change their first names unless absolutely necessary for suspension of disbelief, but otherwise everything is fair game! Just make a top-level comment below with your character's name in the subject line, fill out the little form, and then tag around as you like!

wanders in here super-late, hi

So Hijikata was one of the Gravesend family's best and brightest, then dropped the business like a hot potato five years ago when his wife was shot, and is now kind of skating on the edge of maybe being talked into picking things up again. He's also kind of a mentor figure for Armin. So I think these two knowing each other is quite inevitable, but I could see things between them going in any number of directions there. Positive in that he's done good work for her in the past, negative in that he stopped over something I assume she doesn't see much value in...

...and, well, the Armin matter might be kind of a mixed bag too, as I think one of the big reasons Hijikata just kind of shrugs off all the behavior that drives Aria nuts is because he figures that if nobody takes it in stride, then the chances of Armin listening to anybody about anything are about nil. So while it's not like he's actively discouraging all that stuff, I think he does try to...kind of keep Armin steered away from the kind of wild that's going to cause a lot of trouble for the family in general, to what extent he can.
