Oh my gosh, that would be great! He could use another good person in his life, especially someone who can keep secrets since he hates people knowing and feels they just end up taking pity on him.

Also, the fact she uses natural things would be more comforting to him since he's from 1860s back when Japan was still predominantly isolated and even western medicine was very rare. So something familiar would at least make him less jumpy about the help.

Annnndddd, I was just reading up on Neria's CR thread to get a better idea of what else I could say on this and I think they could actually potentially get along decently well ?! Her moral ambiguity would actually not bother him like it might many others; he would see it as a breath of fresh air, but she also seems to react to stress in a similar way he does so he can relate more easily/somewhat understand a little better by similarities rather than having to be a productive social person.

Also she sounds like she would be able to come back at him if he teases her and they could have off the playful idle banter if so! If she wants a friend who is a little bit hard to read on just where one stands with him but probably has had her back and been there without fail so far, Souji could definitely fit that, too, if you wanted to deepen the CR past the surface! ( also oh my god he's going to find her ears so cute sorry he's going to touch them all the time they'll remind him of a cat he's awful ).

Oh, she'd definitely keep quiet about it. No one else's business, etc. But that's good that he wouldn't think her medicine is like, weird mumbo jumbo. She might eventually try to learn more modern medicine too but SPIRIT HEALING IS A GO

I'd love to have him as her friend, too, especially in a weirdly ambiguous way since he's not always IN THE FOLD so much as there when someone needs him. Neria values loyalty a great deal. I think she'd find a like-mind in him and someone she can depend on, and that's really more than she expects from most people. He'd be wonderfully A-OK in her book.

(Aaahhhhh her ears don't do that she will be so bewildered. But at least he's not calling her 'knife-ears' :c )
