Test Drive #25
Welcome to the Synodiporia Test Drive Meme! Below the cuts there are two new prompts, and here are the prompts from previous test-drives, which you’re still welcome to use in this post. When you comment, be sure you specify what prompt you want to play with, and please put up your own threadstarter—it makes for a much more friendly environment than a forest of bare toplevels! OCs are especially welcome! Please take a quick look at our Directory & familiarize yourself with the concept and setting of the game before you jump in.
Our current app round runs October 29th–November 6th. Our next Jaunt will be Dawnbreak Boulevard, a dramatic showbiz experience, set in mid-twentieth-century Hollywood and full of both glitz and glamour. The accompanying walkabout, Shade’s Retreat, is a murder-mystery-esque hunt for a shapeshifting entity roaming an inn.
Prompt #64 is a seasonal liminal space with some surprise visitors.
Prompt #65 is set in the world of the Pogemon jaunt, where superpowered creatures and their human partners are taking place in a partnership-fueled competition.
#64
Liminal Space is a pumpkin patch.
A patch of warm, glowing pumpkins, specifically. Ranging from tiny enough to fit on the palm of one’s hand to large enough to keep one’s wife inside, these pumpkins come in some very specific colors: blue, blue-white, white, white-yellow, yellow, orange and red. Slicing one open or carving a face on the front reveals that they’re all hollow inside, bereft of pumpkin guts or seeds--but what they do contain are floating balls of light corresponding to the color of their shell.
Travelers, however, will soon find that they aren’t alone here.
Currently, Liminal Space is swarming with dozens of rabbits of various ages, none of which seem very inclined to obey the laws of gravity and all of which can teleport. And will. Occasionally right in front of one’s face. It’s more than a little disconcerting the first time it happens to you.

It’s a beautiful day in Pogtopia City, as Slammers and Pogemon from all over have arrived for the First Annual Poglympic Games. Radical guitar riffs blare from loudspeakers as competitors and spectators gather at Pogtopia Stadium for what’s sure to be an XTREME display of Pogemon and Slammer athletic prowess.
The Poglympic games are meant to highlight Slammers and Pogemon working in unison, and so all of the events have teams competing in some way. There are several team sporting events scheduled, ranging from soccer to softball games. The track and field events feature relay races and the new and highly controversial Slammerput, in which pairs of Pogemon bonded to the same Slammer see how far they can toss their Slammer between each other--while making absolutely certain to catch the competitor. It’s billed as the ultimate trust building exercise, but it’s also pretty dangerous. It’s where the biggest buzz of the Poglympics is centered and where only the strongest and bravest Pogemon and Slammers are competing, but will someone get hurt?
