Triad Creation Tourney final summary
Week 1:
Naoki ignores the competition in favour of sight-seeing. Leo tries to get a read on the competition. Jack's first encounter with the clouds leaves a shaky impression. Kelly gets underfoot. Fionn does his best to get everything on film. Phillip practices escaping the castle. Takuya scrambles to keep his school's delegation on track. Kyle ensures the Americans will be remembered for being flashy; barbecue may be involved. Minerva attempts to keep the competition running smoothly. Amelia is unimpressed by the competitors so far. Edward takes the speeches (and the castle, and the portraits, and the food, and...) unusually seriously.
The Angels have the castle. Riddick's buying drinks for the visitors.
The check-in provides information of varying usefulness. Laughs has trouble with this whole cover story thing, and comes to expect chemical warfare might be the root of the Jaunt. No one thought to tell Barry about the possibility of age alteration. Ringabel gets a job at the local pub. Taako goes breaking and entering in Liminal Space. DEATH suggests the Dark Lord and any Chosen Ones might be the key to resolving matters.
Week 2:
Naoki, Jack and Leo put on their performance pieces. Phillip gets embroiled in a spot of difficulty. Takuya has an upsetting phone call with his brother, Teikoku’s absent-and-ill headmaster. Kyle looks to boost Lone Star’s morale, and gets very upset about the ongoing interference with students’ performances. Edward believes his fellow students aren’t taking him seriously. Fionn tests his dancing skills. Kelly breaks a cloud maze. Minerva is in desperate need of tea.
A number of people object very strongly to the complaint letter about dogs on Majesty’s campus. Riddick and Jacob have another letter to be upset about. The Angels are on the lookout for suspicious Dark Magician activity. A reporter arrives to cover the tournament. Katie digs into the metadata behind the complaint letters.
Various Teikoku and Lone Star performers are subjected to sabotage of a mostly harmless nature. Mostly harmless. Tad modifies both of his scheduled performances on the fly to address current events, which allows the sabotage planted for his planned speech to help make the point in his unplanned one.
Laughs takes it upon himself to do something about the aerosol deodorant problem, and goes bunny-hunting. He also faces a weird accusation from Phillip. Chie alerts the investigators to the probable sabotage going on, prompting Naoto and some others to start looking into it in earnest.
Week 3:
Jack runs into some small difficulty with his yarn stash. Naoki uses his perpetual-magic submission to attempt to unmask the saboteur. On top of the tournament and fallout from the theft of Jack’s yarn, Leo has to contend with visiting parents, here to see what’s up with the complaint letters. Kelly goes a-snooping, prompting Amelia to pull up stakes. Phillip hits the town for some Shakespeare. Kyle does his utmost to monitor pieces for further sabotage. Takuya vents his frustrations regarding his brother, at length. Fionn makes his own attempts to uncover the truth.
Someone keeps
Casper dreams of corgis, and the new Prime Minister canceling elections. Barry makes some very enticing ducks. Sento attempts to pass off his sentai sword as Art. Laughs wants to know more about Edward. Stone catches the saboteur’s scent.
Week 4:
Leo tells his fellow champions about the maze, ahead of the official announcement. Jack emerges from his post-project sleep long enough to enjoy his success. Naoki does some thinking on the matter of the saboteur, and then takes the only option he feels is open to him. The saboteur himself is almost cornered, but not quite. Kyle helps clear the dance floor. Takuya ignores his paperwork. Minerva tries to keep things under control. Phillip’s captor lets him go, but not before Kelly goes looking for him. Edward is Le Tired.
Several people sustain minor injuries as a result of the chandelier crash. Dee does makeup for the costume party. Hajime tries to lure the saboteur out for a proper confrontation. Jules is caught somewhere he really ought not be,
Yukino and Barry dig a little deeper into Edward’s everything. Stone reports the results of his saboteur hunt. Baby Rose fixes Liminal Space. Casper has another nightmare. Laughs asks for last-minute magic lessons.
Week 5:
As Teikoku’s Emergency Backup Champion, Casper puts in enough effort to avoid being accused of not trying, and is mostly interested in making sure this doesn’t go fully Triwizard. Jack and Leo, after protesting the re-staggered start times, find a mysterious statue in the maze, and bring it out. Edward finds himself in a spot of difficulty. Phillip popcorns at the maze. Minerva takes note of the PM’s absence. Naoki happily resumes his normal student life. Kelly helps Edward cut and run. Totally The Prime Minister makes a totally reasonable ban on glitter.
Stone does some aerial security. Keisuke works on picking up the tatters of Teikoku’s reputation. Professor Montreve’s obstacle does not exactly go over well with those who encounter it.
When all’s said and done, the awards are handed out, with Lone Star taking the bulk of the prizes.
