Yosuke will be Infiltrating as a Supervillain. Name still in the works.
His Emporered Ability is the ability to make almost anything explosive and make them explode without additional triggers. As long as the object (or even person) is something that can be turned into an explosive thing, he can do it. One of the abilities is also exploding others' explosives but he needs to be able to touch them for that.
See: Kimblee from Fullmetal Alchemist.
He caused some major destructive incidents (that likely caused casualties) that sent him to jail. Now he's honestly trying to help. Really. Not.
I'm infiltrating Dru as a Rook, so I'm thinking they might know each other from the Tower? Or of each other?
Dru's going to be a mercenary/assassin who's known for never missing a shot (due to her Empowered rifle, some say). Rumored to have killed a Manticore Knight during her arrest.
Sounds like a good plan to me. I'm all for them knowing one another and not just by name. This guy is kind of a sociopath, but he is interested in people who don't make things boring.
Beatrice is absolutely going to be Infiltrating as one of the Rooks, Signorina Beatrice Castiglione. An Empowered Italian national, she was caught smuggling some powerful artifacts in Newport years ago and imprisoned without extradition. The kind of supervillain who turns their prison cell into a small library and pretends she's smarter than everyone in the building. Volunteered for the mission largely because she'd rather die doing something than rot away in a prison.
Not 100% what to do for her power, as as much as Investigator Beatrice bullshitted about it in future!Newport, "magic" is not a valid superpower. Maybe "Charm Person" as an at-will effect? Or maybe she can just literally make money. But then why would she be a supervillain...I'm open to suggestions.

Dru's going to be a mercenary/assassin who's known for never missing a shot (due to her Empowered rifle, some say). Maybe she did some work for Beatrice once upon a time?
That could be! Beatrice was pretty loaded before she got caught. She wouldn't have hired an assassin, but she knows the value of a skilled markswoman on overwatch for deals and the like. She'd definitely have considered someone with an Empowered rifle if she knew about her.
Oh yeah! Dru has done assassinations I guess but I envisioned her as more of a general ~soldier of fortune~. So being a sniper to oversee a deal or hired muscle is totally up her alley.
Dru's rifle is magic but it doesn't actually make her aim super good... But that's what she wants people to think. ;D
Beatrice might have her suspicions, but the point is that Dru's good enough to hypothetically deal with Manticore Knights (not enough to keep either of them out of jail, but them's the breaks).
I'm not planning on him taking any powers or skills from this one, but since he's coming in being a fucking brute who can break down walls and has a native-speaking level of French, I think that gives him a slight leg up in starting in detainment! he is never going to want for Glamour in this one huh
Sure it is, Gil. But Thierry could use a friend, if he could only open up and trust again, and being dependable would at least make him a little less "where's the knife aimed at my back?"
Gil can even empathise with him if/when he loses his Mask and his whole furry deal comes on display. BC really, Thierry, you think people haven't tried knifing him for looking like this in the past? He gets it, mon ami.
Jules is going to be investigating and ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED HOLY SHIT HE DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS HOLY SHIT WHY THIS.
He may actually be useful with radio technology and that sort of thing if someone could get him to calm down, but I have no really concrete plans other than PANIC. He's going to pass himself off as having a minor Empowered gift of throwing frost bolts since that's a thing he can do with Blue magic and is far less likely to get all that much attention than anything else he might try.
She'll be an Empowered criminal along the lines of Deadshot or Black Widow: an excellently trained and conditioned human with an alarming number of skills and a few high-tech helping hands. Dru will be known as Dreadshot, a soldier of fortune whose hallmark is an Empowered rifle that supposedly allows her to never miss. She'll take any job for the right pay, and is rumored to have sometimes taken jobs for what would be considered a token fee simply because she wanted to. (Usually this is mentioned in conjunction with some altruistic act or another.)
In fact, Dru's "never miss" record is because she's simply that good of a markswoman. Her rifle's actual ability is to shapeshift into any weapon on command, always returning to her hand if lost, and always having ammunition if ranged. The weapon always incorporates an eye-like jewel on its body somewhere. (Sometimes it blinks.) The rifle she carries with her is a (fully functional!) replica of her weapon in its rifle form; the weapon itself takes the form of a hunting knife.
She was tossed into the Tower of London near the start of the war. Due to being at least nominally a British citizen, the government attempt to strongarm her into serving them, and Dru strongly declined the honor. She was summarily arrested -- killing at least one Empowered hero in the process, or so they say -- and tossed into the Tower for treason and every other crime they could find.
Dru will take this mission for the chance, however slim, of freedom. She is well known for her strong antipathy toward the British government and for her mercenary mindset. The possibility that she may betray the mission for money, revenge, or both, is very real. As is the possibility she'll run at the first opportunity.
Thace will be infiltrating as Thierry, a Marquisard who is in the POW camp actually by choice (sort of), having infiltrated it in an attempt to be an inside man to facilitate an attack of his resistance group to free everyone else. His plans are kinda gonna get tanked by the unexpected rescue in week one, and he'll have to start doing things on the fly.
He's noble and compassionate on the whole, but he also trusts no one that isn't in his resistance cell, and is determined to free France at any cost (and eventually everywhere else, but France is More Important), including his life if necessary. People are going to die, and he's accepted that, but the fight must go on, no matter what. He's fairly young (20s) and definitely had some military training prior to the war, and may or may not have an Empowered ability. (He does, but has no intention of telling anyone about it) He's got crazy hand to hand skills regardless.
I'd really love to do some infil-cr with a fellow resistance member or two.
Chances of him doing something self-sacrificing for the greater good: high
Bayek: will be spending most of the jaunt as himself, although I might have him start infiltrating and then die or be Memory Restored early on. He'll be passing off his fighting skills and Senu as an empowered ability, probably, although I might have him pick up an empowered object during the course of things.
Melissa is reprising an earlier version of her Newport role, aka a woman who got Empowered several hundred years ago and wound up with immortality, leaving her on the run since then in order to avoid being accused of witchcraft or otherwise captured for analysis.
She wouldn't be a part of White Company/Manticore or the criminal unit, so... I'm wondering if she can be a guide or something hired out of desperation? I will check on that. But she's here, paranoid as hell, and ready to rock.
Same resistance cell, maybe. Melissa has... serious trust issues that are probably obvious, so best they could get is probably friendly without the implied trust/confidence of friendship. XD
Ooh, that might lead to an interesting trust imbalance, because the only people Thierry would trust is his resistance cell (this does not mean he'd necessarily friendly. This is war; we'll probably both die; can't afford personal ties etc)
Asa will be infiltrating as a Manticore Knight guarding the metal casket. Manticore-granted abilities are super strength and stamina, physically she's gotten a bit more leonine (clawed hands, increased body hair that's turned fur-like, fur around edges of face, fangs, etc... but no tail).
Looks like Asa and Birch are guards, though Birch is with the White Company.
She'd definitely know that Birch is not the overlays actual name, and this isn't their actual face. Birch also has a different story every time any question is asked about their background.
I added a detail to Dru's infil-backstory that she is rumored to have killed a Knight during her arrest... I figure the truth of that will probably affect how Asa reacts to her, so do you have any preference one way or another?
It would depend on if the Knight in question was someone Asa was close to (I'm guessing not), but regardless, she'll have a hard time trusting a word out of Dru's mouth for it. She won't be outright rude or go out of her way to avoid Dru, she'll just watch her more closely than some of the Rooks.
This might be the best timing to give her some lightning / electric powers as empowered skills maybe i'll reuse what Mikasa had in the jaunt if Mikasa didn't keep them, hah but I'm really not sure about that or any other empowered ability for her yet. She's... a lot to deal for anyone ending up in fights against her even with her canon skills only.
It'll be fine, adapting to situations is what Birch does best.
Yeah, Birch probably has a decent professional respect for Dru. We're all liars, thieves and murderers here, it's just that some of us get away with it more sucessfully than others.
Obviously not your first preference by any means, hah, but if no one else comes forward I can offer up Gil for the job of murderer? Obviously feel free to say no, I don't mind, but the offer's there. :>
Eren is going to be Infiltrating as Even, a member of White Company. He's slightly aged up (about early-mid 20s), and is general is very calm and quiet. His hair is long and he has a bit of scraggly beard and mustache, both of which look more like he just can't be bothered to deal with them than they do a choice of style. As such, I'll be using icons from after the timeskip in the manga for the duration of the Walkabout. There's not lot to work with yet, however, so apologies in advance for the lack of icon selection!
As said above, Even is part of White Company. The Empowered ability he is known for is mental immunity; he's immune to mind reading, mental manipulation, and so on. While he has no offensive powers, he's well trained and able to hold his own in a fight.
However, he's not the do-gooder that he pretends to be. while he acts like his intentions are altruistic, he's actually only in White Company for his own selfish reasons. How much of this comes out during the Walkabout will depend on how things go. Also, there might be some powers shenanigans involving Empowered Items. I'll leave what exactly that is as a surprise for if and when it comes up.
Raidou is going to be Investigating, and not picking up any additional superpowers, since he's got a fair amount to work with already. I don't have any real plans for him plotwise, aside from maybe Postmortem Possession shenanigans if an applicable situation comes up.

Dru would also appreciate having someone who can liven up prison (asmuch as it can be livened up, anyway) since she'd be super bored in there herself.

Haha, he at least tries. If nothing else, he can likely make a few guards wet their pants from time to time with his crazier looks.
