Specifically, she wants to use it to learn how to stop the situation from further deteriorating, or if that's too vague to get an answer, the root cause of the sudden influx of insane dead.

She also wants to know how to force a ghost to pass on, but for that she's willing to use old-fashioned research and carefully asking other ghosts, or ask the living to research it for her.
