Hello, everyone! This is Jaqui, Jason Todd's player, here with Inanna from The Wicked + The Divine. Inanna is the Sumerian goddess of love and war (emphasis on love), incarnated into a teenager. He's joining Lucifer and Persephone from his canon, and some of his godlike powers (and what they might mean for your character) are explained in his permissions post.

Inanna is an utter sweetheart, gives great hugs, and would very much like to be friends (or more than friends -- he is a love goddess) with your characters. He's got a mean streak, but it's very small, and largely doesn't ever see the light of day. He's also pansexual, polyamorous, and genderqueer. He's using male pronouns for now, but that will change as he takes some time to figure himself out. Oh, and sparkly and flamboyant... he's very much those things, as well. His character was inspired by Prince (RIP), so that should give you some idea.

I'd been hoping for good angel-France CR, given that Ishtar (the Akkadian/Babylonian version of Inanna) had her parallels to Naamah spelled out in the books, IIRC. Inanna isn't looking for worship, really (though adoration is always nice), but meeting with people who take love That Seriously, and are all about the consent and lack of shame? That will make him so happy.

Oh man, I hope Inanna and Imriel get to know each other. It might be a little rocky at first, because Imriel's still not very comfortable around men in general, but their relationship would be really interesting, I think.

Yeah, and while Inanna's not exactly a man, Imriel doesn't know that, and trauma doesn't really care about people's internal gender identities.

Still, I'd love to see where it goes! Inanna's definitely willing to be patient if Imriel feels unsafe around him.

One of these days, I'd like to throw Jason at him, but Jason is much less comforting than Inanna, so I've been cautious of throwing him in the mix. My headcanon for him gives him a background as a child prostitute, so while he wouldn't begin to pretend their experiences are the same, he knows a lot about what it's like when certain kinds of Bad Stuff hit you at that age. (And, y'know, if you ever want someone else to be rabidly, murderously protective of the kid, Jason's your guy, though, again, that might not be such a good thing.)

Yeah, he looks enough like a man for Imriel to be uncomfortable around him.

Maybe we could get around some of that by throwing them at each other in the jaunt. He still doesn't really trust anyone, or what's going on, but there's no trauma about men in particular.

Also, yes, I would really like he and Jason to get CR at some point. Is Jason investigating?

Yeah, Jason's investigating, and I'd be happy to throw Inanna at him as either Akhtar or as Starburst, depending on your preference.

Would you like me to hit Imriel's toplevel with either of them, or wait until the next mingle?

Well, if you wait until next mingle, he's more likely to have his overprotective immortal mother looking over his shoulder. So this mingle probably makes more sense, for either of them.

As far as Akhtar or Starburst, I'm honestly not sure. Being from the 15th century, any superpowers used around him probably put him in mind of witchcraft - which at this point he essentially blames for killing his father, driving his mother away, and bringing him 550 years into the future. So that might not be the best way to get a good reaction.

On the other hand, Imriel's power might be negating the powers of people near him. And if that's the case, Starburst might be much more interesting. And he wouldn't necessarily think he's practicing witchcraft, if any powers he's trying to use don't actually work.

If nothing else, it'll be easier to recognize Inanna later if Imriel's seen him as Starburst. Even without the mask, the white patch of hair and the purple eyes will be pretty distinctive. And Starburst probably wouldn't be doing overt "witchcraft", either way, since his powers (other than the transformation that makes him look how he does) are combat-based.

ETA: I'm an idiot. His overprotective immortal mother is the Hex Pistols' team nanny, and she was already threatening to have them babysit. So he's probably going to meet Starburst through her. Which makes Jason the logical choice for hitting up the toplevel on this mingle.

Ah, fair enough! Unless it's the other way around, and next week he meets Melissa through Starburst. Since I have plans to have him find Melissa, but as yet no particular plans about how.

Starburst would absolutely call her, too. Lost kid, scared of the police, and she's the team mom... maybe she'll know what to do.

Although if he's going to meet Melissa through Starburst, it probably makes more sense to wait till the new mingle anyway, so I can set up a toplevel that makes more sense for doing it this way.
