State of the Walkabout - summary
Doki-Doki no Gakuen - the Expo!
Week 1:
Our intrepid Travelers find themselves in the Shambala Hotel, and Lyall prompty checks in on the network with the other Investigators, already exasperated over the whole Walkabout when he wasn't even present during the previous Jaunt at Doki-Doki. Still, Lyall is quick to drop into his Investigating infiltrator persona of a biology teacher at Mahou Kagaku no Gakuen.
There are a couple of Familiar Faces present, though the first this time doesn't appear to be in the same happy moon-eyed state we'd last seen her in.
Malik's Infiltrating Jaunt Father, Ryouta, has some hairy problems with falling students, and is quick to seek out drinks once he's done playing chaperone, at least for a while. His son meanwhile takes a 'night on the town', particularly on a Not Date. He also ends up going to his uncle for advice on kissing (clearly unrelated to his Not Date) and gets a virgin drink.
An aged-up Maria finds out through the awkward student edition of our favorite time-traveling Colonel that the different schools are gathered for the competition. Unfortunately, her lack of experience in being subtle about sneaky Investigations (and fear of tests) leaves a poor impression on Nigel.
Jean is a dog. No, really, he got dog ears and a tail, and freaked out over it.
It seems a bit of the party-animal vampire banker remains in Zed as the teacher is quick to get to relaxing with a drink. Unfortunately, he gets into a not-quite-but-sort-of philosophical debate about their location with Beatrice. It's quite dramatic.

If anyone has any suggestions for an S. Tech performance that isn't "live AMV of her canon image song using S. Tech 'graphics'", I wouldn't mind hearing them, as my character is more creative than I am.
However, after the competition on the first day she's going to be spending the afternoon studying the other competitors and the evening sneaking around trying to determine if anything unusual is going on in the administration of this contest. Based on her limited experience and hearsay, there's always something else going on beneath the obvious surface objectives, and she wants to check it out. Might do a Telepathic post recruiting for Investigator Shenanigans IC. Any thoughts on this, anyone?
