Children of the Night - Week 3 in a nutshell
Week 3 Summary
- Baadur pays Zed a visit and attempts to coerce him into giving him dirt on Bagrat's finances to try to get the vampire out of the running for Prince peacefully. Unfortunately, Baadur isn't the most skilled at interrogation or making threats.
- Baadur reveals to Nigel that Elphaba has decided that if she somehow becomes the next ruler, she will hire Baadur to serve under her. Nigel points out there's no way to accept the proposal without looking as though the equality-demanding werewolf has finally gotten a patron vampire to his pack.
- Melissa's vampire convert hunter makes the mistake of going after Joker. The encounter doesn't end well for the vamp, and Melissa is down in numbers again in her one-woman war on all supernaturals here, evil or benign. It is revealed the vampire was one of Bagrat's followers, which leads to further confusing the plot of just who is responsible for the senseless murders happening around the city - is it political or a maniac on the loose? Meanwhile, Melissa's other convert throws a molotov cocktail at Bagrat's followers, setting two of them on fire while the third escapes slightly singed.
- Elio flies into a rage at the elections seeming to give way to senseless murder, losing what little faith he had in any of the candidates. He decides to take to patrolling the city as well as he can himself to at least keep the people safe while the politics get further snarled up.
- Thorne makes a point of giving Joker a new computer... and a hideous nightgown. At this rate, perhaps Stasya will need to burn down the pack's home to rid the world of such crimes against fashion. It's becoming evident that Joker's fashion is otherwise unstoppable, given that she and Borya had taken the time to massacre his wardrobe already.
