+1 Urban Sorcerer

Hello! Blue here, aka Istas-mun, bringing in a second character: Matthew Swift from Kate Griffin's Matthew Swift / Magicals Anonymous novels. He's an urban sorcerer whose magic is essentially derived from the environment, which in practical terms means that he has awesome overpowered magical abilities in a city, but is largely useless in a forest. (He is going to find jaunts so much fun...)

Also very important to note is that Matthew is also kind of semi-possessed / mind melded with the Blue Electric Angels, aka the spirits of the telephone wire. The most obvious consequence of this is his tendency to switch between using singular and plural pronouns for himself, sometimes even mid-sentence. In short: he's a bit weird, really.

Riddick I am actually not familiar with! And perhaps Lyall or Neeshka could be the most interesting to throw at Matthew? Though I'm good with whoever, really :P

I have no familiarity with this canon at all, but he sounds fun! Zed's probably just going to roll with the pronoun thing because weird is his baseline normal, and Hajime will be suitably weirded out because telephone possession what.

Well, unless Hajime has a way to divine such things, he might not necessarily know about the telephonic semi-possession. As Matthew's the kind of character who generally feels little need to actually explain what the hell is going on with him to anyone. In fact he tends to actively avoid it.

...Which, to be fair, might not lessen the weirded-outness. Since he's still a guy who sometimes refers to himself as "we" with no explanation whatsoever XD

They're great books, although admittedly ones that do seem to be love it or hate it kind of books. If you like, I do have copies of the ebooks that I can share!
