Helloooo, all. I'm Sam, I'll be one-quarter of your friendly local modteam, and I'll also be playing these two dudes:
On this journal, Toshizou Hijikata from Hakuouki, a canon best summarized as "history is cool, but you know what would make it even cooler? if the Boshin War was fought by vampires." Hijikata's a slightly ill-mannered commoner-turned-samurai-turned-military leader; he comes across as kind of a crass grump but he's nicer than he lets on. He's also a fairly seasoned veteran at this traveling business, with ten jaunts under his belt, so he may not be glad to help all the newbies get acclimated, but he'll do it anyway because we're all in this together, dammit. (Though I'm planning for him to be an infiltrator in our first jaunt, so. Take a raincheck on that, I guess?)
And atnicerear, I have Wes Janson from Star Wars, who you might remember as one of the pilots with like ten seconds of screentime in the movies (most of his canon is in the expanded universe novels and comics). He's a laid-back pilot and gunner with a penchant for bad jokes and silly pranks, but he knows how to be serious when it counts. He'll be coming in canon-fresh as a brand new Traveler. Don't treat him gently, he probably doesn't deserve it.
Both of mine are on the CR meme - Hijikata, Janson - and I will be rolling through there to touch everyone properly sooner or later.
