Infiltrator CR Meme!

Once you've decided what role you want to play as an infiltrator, brainwashed to believe you belong in 1930s Brooklyn, this is the place to talk with other players about shared backstory and relationships you'd like to plan out for the plot. If you're playing a plot-important role, we'd ask that you not disclose any plot secrets here, obviously, and for ease of identification we ask that characters not change their first names unless absolutely necessary for suspension of disbelief, but otherwise everything is fair game! Role in current universe: Traditionalist mob boss for the Bensonhurst family.

Backstory/Description of new identity: Elijah is the patriarch of the Bensonhurst mob family. He's more than earned his place in the family as he had been groomed to assume the position from a fairly young age and controls it with your standard iron fist. In his time since assuming control, Elijah has done well in maintaining and expanding the family. Those working within the family both fear and respect him (as they damn well should) and they understand the rules he lays down as they are carried out from top to bottom with no exceptions.

The family has always come first for him and, as the name of his role would suggest, he believes the family will only remain strong so long as they hold fast to the traditions that have carried them this far. He's never once hesitated to eliminate a threat to the family either himself or through other means. (As a general policy/rule, Elijah only asks kindly once if he's going to bother at all.) Those that demonstrate that level of loyalty are able to rise in the ranks fairly quickly if they play their cards right. Those that don't or exceedingly disappoint him? Well, you could ask them what happens, but you're likely going to have an extremely hard time finding them. He's not excessively cruel, however. He's willing to offer at least a second chance and maybe even a third chance if you're lucky. But his patience does have limits and it's best to be on the good side of that.

Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: There aren't too many significant changes beyond the fact Elijah's a little more ambitious than his normal counterpart in terms of taking what he wants and therefore a little quicker to be more cutthroat. Otherwise, he's about the same. He's difficult to read in terms of what he's thinking or feeling in a particular moment unless he decides to inform you, etc.

Yes, yes, and so much yes. I really want to give him the chance to go full cop mode at someone, even if it just ends up as snark back and forth.

And he'll suck at cards. Enjoy that, Remy.

Well, his newest freelancer here is a go-getter, but more in the "procuring contraband" sort of way than harder crime. He's also socially awkward, doesn't drink, and painfully straight-laced for someone embarking on a life of crime, but very eager to learn and be mentored by anyone above him in the Bensonhurst outfit.

Role in current universe: heir to Gravesend mobster Aria T'Loak
Backstory/Description of new identity: Unlike his vicious progenitor, Armin is refined and educated, usually scorning violence as crude and unnecessary - though he paradoxically also courts danger in a reckless, thrill-seeking kind of way. Moreover, he seems to often find himself - through none of his own doing - in situations that could cause embarrassment to the family.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: He's more confident and relaxed than usual. He's also more flamboyant, more reckless, and a little more abrasive.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Anything, really! Mob relations, both good and bad, con-man type shenanigans, a night on the town, run-ins with the cops, anything!
Anything Else/: not so far

Joscelin will almost certainly be sticking close as a bodyguard whenever possible, being silent and surly.

Armin probably won't be the one to ask him that, either - he respects him as a mentor, and I get the impression they're supposed to be close enough he'd be aware enough not to.

Well, these two meeting would probably be pretty tense and awkward. That miiight just make me want to have it happen more, though. Not sure how that would go down, though.

Also, Armin is often seen frequenting the Le Chateau Blanc and the Midnight Rose, as well as other places in neutral territory between the families.

good cop vs mob heir shenanigans sound like they could be fun. Especially if they don't realize who they're talking to at first.

Armin frequents both places, so he'd be a familiar patron. He's probably a little too outgoing and friendly (though also pretty generous).

Role in current universe: A heir to Bensonhurst
Backstory/Description of new identity: The delicate, pretty princess of Bensonhurst has remained sheltered from much of their activity, for the sake of keeping her safe until she comes of age, and will be able to handle herself and her families secrets safely. She thinks she has a gist of how things really are, but she has no idea.

In Sansa's mind, however, her family is just unbelievably cruel and overprotective by never letting her know what is exactly going on. She doesn't see the reasons for any of this, and is growing increasingly frustrated with being stuck in her home- so she's been sneaking out more and more lately, trying to get a taste of life on her own. What the family doesn't know won't hurt them, right?
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: She's a little more rebellious, a little more conceited and self-concerned since she's never had the character development her canon provides.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Bensonhurst interactions! Also anyone she might meet while she's sneaking out!
Anything Else/:

Well, Tim's a freelance Bensonhurst rumrunner, so at a minimum she probably sees him at "family" functions or business meetings, things like that.

And of course, if she makes it to the Midnight Rose, there's Remy, dealing cards, who will be... disrespectful, courteous, and helpful?

Role in current universe: ~~Martin Blank~~ ~~merchant of death~~ ...look, guys, he is a hitman, and he has no ties to either family.

Backstory/Description of new identity: Because I like nods to canon, this iteration of Erik was actually born Max Eisenhardt. He comes from a family of German refugees, all of whom are dead now, but that matters little because absolutely no one knows anything personal about him. As previously mentioned he operates independently as far as professional capacity goes, and he's very good at what he does. Partially this is due to an uncanny affinity for metal objects. WHO KNOWS WHERE THAT CAME FROMjk we all know that.

Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: The accent Erik uses in XMFC is kind of ~~Irish~~ pan-global; this one speaks with a considerably heavier German influence as well as the typical cadences of a person who grew up speaking a lot of Yiddish, what with those languages pretty much being kissing cousins.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Uhhhhhhh. It's probably best to start with people who have hired him, because he is if possible even more of a loner. WAY TO CREATE CR, LYNN. --no really, also people who have barreled through his brusqueness to demand frandship??? He's not uh, social, but he does drink, so, you know, the places where that happens he can probably be pinned down.
Anything Else/: Just this, honestly.

pffft, Nezumi can pretend solicitousness if Armin tips well. He'd probably be surprised if they ran into each other outside of when Nezumi's at work though - because then he'd be rather abrasive...

The card dealer at the Midnight Rose is pretty much the only CR I can offer at the start, anyway. He might occasionally buy him a drink?

Role in current universe: Slumming millionaire with a nasty skeleton in the closet. Possibly literal.
Backstory/Description of new identity: Former socialite who's fallen into hard times, digging herself a deeper and deeper grave and far too proud to dig herself out.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: More ruthless and selfish, lacks a moral compass and empathy, much worse family life.

Oh god, yeah; I haven't seen AoT yet, but from what little I know of it, I don't think Adachi would suspect Armin of that sort of thing.
