Fellow veteran and I would love some CR with them! Hado was the tormented magical slave of a fantasy ruling clan about as fucked up as some of the Westerosi for like 2000 years, and he will be very conflicted about whether to be sympathetic toward her (because he can see the way she navigates conversations and uses her politeness is coming from a place of careful defense) or deeply wary and resentful (because as a noble type she reminds him of the Arameri, full stop). He's probably charming but wary when they run into each other. He's like that feral cat who slinks up and then hisses and skitters away.
