Investigators Investigators arrive in town with debit cards to accounts with enough money to attend college, live in dorms, and a meal plan for about a month. They also have on them all the forms for registration. Those not old enough for college have either been enrolled already by the Arcana on the grounds of being super smart (right?), or their ID bears the address of the faculty family housing, fully stocked with food and amenities. Characters may be aged up or down.
Should Travelers not wish to enroll, entry- or mid-level jobs can be applied to last-minute. Once semester starts, it is very difficult for anyone other than students, staff, their children, or Fae to get visitors' privileges.
The Arcana have determined that it would be too dangerous to "Faevestigate" without the application of individual skills, due to the danger of officially offending powerful Fae en masse. Fae are not to be underestimated or fooled by a simple form change without any of the accompanying magic, capricious nature, and malleability that truly make them what they are. However, the Arcana cannot be held responsible for Deals made for Fae powers, skills like Memory Restoration, side effects of hanging out in the Elsewhere, or Changeling swaps... Characters who are already literal actual Fae or Fae-touched remain as they are of course.
Infiltrators Fae Infiltrators are encouraged, as they can most easily pass between the worlds and are a source of Favors. They know to Glamour themselves while at the University. Changelings are impostors but usually attempt to do their Taken's coursework anyway. Officially enrolled Fae students pay in anything but human currency. Fae rarely have the patience to be full-time professors or librarians, bar the occasional Changeling swap. Other staff positions appeal more.
Human/Other roles as students, professors, groundskeepers, and other staff are fair game, but not the Dean (he's been missing for years). There may be multiple RAs, Cornerwitches, librarians, staff, and sorority/fraternity members. There are also humans who have returned after being Taken. Sometimes, not always, time passes more slowly in the Elsewhere, and they can potentially miss decades in our world. There is a program at the University dedicated to helping them readjust.
