"And there were so few of us because talent in raw, physical magic is actually kind of rare. There are far more people with natural or psychic disciplines, any of a number of other types of magic. I'm not actually sure why that is, though physical disciplines are the best and most powerful, of course. You don't choose your discipline, it's just something you have an innate talent for.
