Eliot doesn't take it, but rather raises one hand into the air and makes an odd little gesture. It doesn't really look like fingers should move that way, but nonetheless the man makes the motion fluid, languid, almost lazy. When he does so, it almost seems like there's a heat shimmer in the air around his fingers, and then Jean will feel that same heat around his hand, focused on the cigarette. The small paper tube will suddenly lighten as the water is apparently evaporated out of it, and then a small red glow appears at the tip.
