Ambrose is going to find out he has Infiltrator Persona via doing a ride-along with one Bruce Marshall of Chicago, a descendant of Matilda Marshall née Laing, younger sister of noted dead innkeeper Ambrose Laing who emigrated from Scotland to America. Bruce is keen on genealogy, and when Ancestry.com gave him a doozy of a leaf on Great-Great Uncle Ambrose he knew he had to go and do more in-depth research for himself. If anyone wants to be a friend/family member/traveling companion, hit me up, or he can be going solo.
Ambrose is of course not happy about any of this. He'll be (hopefully) steering Bruce away from horrible death and madness, but the research interest will make for a decent excuse to do a lot of...research. Right.
BONUS: because I (hopefully) can, there's a chance I'll be pulling double (triple?) duty and toying around with the ghost of Ambrose Laing, tragic and possibly mad innkeeper whose 1897 death is a bit of a mystery. His body was found near the shore of Lake Holly (now an empty sinkhole) a few days before the theater fire, with strangulation as the apparent cause of death. Still, he's fairly convivial if a bit desperate to find his son.
