Grant Voting!
All right! The three grant submissions are in, and the grant committee is going to be voting on them! And the grant committee is, in this case, the playerbase (OOCly). The three proposals below are the contenders for the Edric Ljosalfr Better World Grant, which should be awarded to the best practical contribution in improving the quality of the postwar world - players should vote for whichever single option they feel does that best, OOCly, no matter which department(s) your characters played in. Voting is open until 11:59 PM Central Time, August 2nd, (because we're running a couple says behind), and results will be announced first thing on the 3rd in an IC post.
Additionally, the grant committee has received a widely-circulated student petition asking that funding for the Grant not be taken away from the Ground, & some other feedback that funding to other departments not be cut or that the award money be split - while there's no room for that in this poll, the student efforts have not gone unnoticed & will be addressed in the announcement.
Which of the following projects promises the best practical contribution in improving the quality of the postwar world?
A. Technical Systems & Salvage
Construction of a light reconnaissance aircraft to help scout the surrounding area?
B. Ecological Sciences
Work to increase the amount of radiation various plants & fungi absorb from the soil, cleaning contaminated land faster?
C. Cultures & Humanities
Translation of classic works on civics, law, & government to help restore an orderly society?
