Korra and my new girl Usagi will both be investigating. It's Usagi's first jaunt and Korra's first time investigating at the same time with Jean, so clearly we are going to have the best party here. ...We'll see if Usagi survives, she has no idea about anything and she'll probably eat a lot more than she should with her money situation, so please help the new girl before she falls into a deep, deep rabbit hole! XD

Mikasa is infiltrating as rich girl who is also the lead singer and a guitarist of AoT band, but she might get her own comment later with more info on it, we'll see.

Souji aka Marshall Whitewater will be Infiltrating & playing bass in whatever band Rise is in, whether that's a headliner or not - I'm definitely interested in hearing what Infiltrator bands are forming!

Jason is Investigating for his first Jaunt, & will try to help people blend in in California, even though this is a decade or two before he was born.

Melissa will be owning a bar with Malik- whoever gets the Man/Woman Who Fell To Earth Plot Role, please hit me up because ideally I would like her to be a secret alien. If that's not cool/doesn't make sense though, she'll be a retired agent. Come hang at the bar/inn, it'll be great fun.

Thorne is Investigating and using this time to go on dates with her boyfriend because this is literally the first time they've ever Investigated together. Also, They Were On A Date provides a convenient excuse for Alcuin not being available when Megan's at the con in June.

HOWEVER! Since this is pretty much the alternate universe counterpart to the area she grew up in, she'll definitely be there to help and advise people about shit, even though she was quite literally born yesterday re: the timeframe of this jaunt.

Maria is probably going to be Infiltrating as a few years older than she is and also is probably maybe going to be Kanji's sister? WE SHALL SEE.

Xena will be investigating! As yet, I'm not sure exactly what she'll be doing - she can sing, so she could be potentially be a part of an Investigator band if anyone's after a vocalist.

Mostly though, Xena is likely to need someone to help explain the 80s to her. She's pretty quick on the uptake, but even so. Ancient Greece is a long way from this :P So, fellow investigators to help investigate would be awesome!

Kanji - Infiltrator Persona - Casey Greene

Kanji will be running with an Infiltrator Persona from the outset. Maria's brother as mentioned above and slightly aged up to be an actual official adult who's out of high school. ... The overall effect may end up resembling a young, Japanese Billy Idol, OK.

While he's a talented enough musician in his own right, Maria being Maria here as much as anywhere, she's managed to drop him in the middle of Shenanigans and he's scrambling to put together a band before the big performance ... Investigators, he's looking at you.

Laughs will be investigating and probably not like all that noise and the human crowds at all.

Kitty is going for a plot role, if she doesn't get it she'll probably be investigating as well.

Laughs will likely be invited to be a part of the pack group, if he's interested! (Involving Tick-Tock, Gale, and Lyall, not Jesse, but this is who I'm logged in as. XD)

Whether or not she ends up as THE Arrogant Headliner, Bernkastel will be the infamous Erica Rude, lead singer for the poppy punk band The Clash at Demonwell. One of her hit singles is a song about a demon's curse called Footsteps, which is literally an English rendition of the Higurashi opening theme song and I'm never apologizing for art. Eagerly seeking bandmates that (will put up with/are Done with) her bullshit!

Sara Smith will be Investigating and super jazzed about seeing something like her world before it turned YA sci fi shaped. She may be doing flyby patrols in her ANIMa while she thinks everyone is asleep and attracting MIB or alien attention whoops. Who wants to fake being her parents?

Unsure if Madoka should be herself or be Infiltrating as an Agent of Area 54 studying Weird Alien Tech. Leaning towards the latter along with blanket permission for someone to jolt her back to herself.

If mingle setup allows, Altair will probably start counseling everyone to WEAR AS MUCH LEATHER AS POSSIBLE. Because clearly this will be a fighting arena, all these studs-clad roadies are competitors, the leather is armor, and this is how you blend in, right?? Please join him while he shops for biker jackets. (At this rate, he'll probably end up being mistaken for concert staff or a roadie.)

Altair's going to learn to ride his motorcycle, please help him avoid dying being pulled over by the cops asking for the learner's permit he does not have, or for NOT WEARING A HELMET.

Knowing "electricity", whatever that is, will probably happen in Liminal in the future, or maybe finagling room creation into making a player work like the stove, Altair will buy a record store's entire stock, or as much of it as he can without drawing too much attention. When you can ask your friend to lim manip jewels or something, and sell them at a pawn shop... The Workshop library will eventually have music. Please join him for shopping, and stop him from haggling over the prices, that's not how it works...

Jean will be investigating together with his girlfriend Korra after all these years jaunts.

Jean will discover he can play the guitar and then he will be overheard by Mikasa's overlay and talked (= dragged when Eren's overlay gets involved) into the Attack on Titan band that's missing a member. He'll also be having his piercings again that he had as Orion, because why not.

He will also be using a fake name of Johan during the jaunt. He's actually aged up to 21 for this jaunt.

Failing that, though, she will d be Infiltrating as some band's long-suffering manager. Fussy as hell, but has a great knack for business stuff. Really wants to prove that yes, Asian women can so manage bands successfully, since this is still the timeframe for Girl Power.

Casper will be infiltrating. Probably just a random concert-goer, likely to help out anyone who seems lost. Will probably have his boyfriend (NPC unless someone wants to go for it) around who he will be cute and perky with and probably spend way too much money on.

Bob, his bird, will probably become some sort of small pet that Casper keeps in his pocket. He will not be happy about htis.

Jaina is going to be investigating. And bringing along her Pogemon partner Cakhmaim because he Insisted. Cakhmaim will be wearing funny hats to hide the fact that he looks like an alien. This will presumably not work terribly well with the Area 54 people. She will also have Phillip's Pogemon Pollo along as her hat. And probably get mistaken for a groupie again.

Death speaking of Area 54, meet Secret Agent D'Eath. Which is totally a normal name why are you all giving her that look. Secret agents plot with me! ... uh twice so much for avoiding myself.

Minerva is going to be a bagpipe player in a band. I am keen on getting other members for quite possibly the strangest band of the festival.

This girl's Infiltration, Doctor Michelle Madison, will have a lot to talk about with Secret Agent D'Eath, mostly about the care and handling of Alien Stuff What We Don't Know What It Does.

Ambrose | Infiltrating

Ambrose is going to be infiltrating... teen infiltrating! He'll be the nerdiest little techno-geek with an endless array of Kraftwerk t-shirts. That weird genius kid from 80s movies? Yeah, that's him, complete with ridiculous nickname: he's gonna be going by Glitch because that's awesome and he hasn't been "Glitch" in forever.

WANTED: family, friends, stuff! I know a few folks mentioned on plurk that they were up for the thing so let's see how that shakes out. COMPLICATING THINGS: I am going to be small-t traveling from the 13th through the 20th so there's a chunk of jaunt I'll be missing.

Lyall is investigating, but being aged down to late teens/early 20s, because that's a fun idea. Blonde geek in glasses being dragged around by his British boyfriend. He may or may not put on an American accent. Haven't decided yet. Also, focusing a lot on pack shenanigans this Jaunt, because most of them are also investigating.

Jolie is also investigating, because this is where her family lives, just a few hours down the coast. She will be ditching the Jaunt proper a day or two in to go try and find them. Sorry, Arcana. You don't get Jolie's help this time unless it's by accident.

Neeshka is infiltrating as a member of a punk band! Or whatever passes for punk in the 80s. Early metal maybe? Metallica-like? Need to discuss with Sabetha/any other potential band members what they each do in the band, what they play/sing, etc. Thinking I may bring home whatever instrument she plays as a skill because hilarity :3 May or may not be rivals with the Blade Boy Band.

Artemis is going to be infiltrating again this round, this time as the bartender at Malik and Melissa's bar/inn. So come and get drinks from him inbetween all these rock show shenanigans.

He's a former mafia enforcer that's since tried to clean up his life, and works closely with fellow former mafia friend and oath brother Cal. They've got matching tattoos and it's great. He's going to be slightly more well adjusted here than he normally is, if only because he's living with people he actually trusts with his life, for once.

Drizzt is going to come sit in the bar. And want food and non-alcoholic drink. WHICH IS SUSPICIOUS. But he's actually just wanting to listen to the crowd, being used to noisy bars. It'll be just like back when he was on shore leave for the Sea Sprite.

Tachibana will be infiltrating as part of the Blade Boy Band, the Wild Cards~ He's the frontman, lead singer, and lead writer. Aged down to 22-23 with his younger brother [aka, Mutsuki] also part of the band. He has a girlfriend who's off in medical school that he often skives off to go see when he can, or spends half the night on the phone with. which of course means if he goes missing for a day, it's just normal, whoops

Garren is infiltrating with him as Gary the tech. Legally deaf, where he can hear some what, and hearing aids plus lip reading work pretty well to let him know what people are saying. Still mostly mute because he's far too self conscious about how people react to how he sounds that he just... doesn't want to talk around anyone.

Seeing as I'm going to be gone for about a week of the jaunt, I'm choosing to have Hiroshi more or less staying in the background. How this will play out is uncertain, but either way I'm not going to have him doing much in the way of either Investigating or Infiltrating for this jaunt. That said, if there's any other shenanigans people want to get into - or if you just really, really wanna see Hiroshi in kitschy 80s rock enthusiast gear - lemme know.

Eren will be Infiltrating with the name Eric. He's going to be aged up about two years, so he'll be 19 for the Jaunt.

He's the drummer in a band with the other AoT kids (the name of said band is still to be determined). They're just starting to make a name for themselves and - if all goes according to plan - are going to be one of the up-and-coming bands playing at the festival. Mikasa and Armin have been in the band with him since the beginning, but the Investigating Jean is a last minute addition Eric's going to basically force into help recruit into the Band as a replacement for their guitarist. The former guitarist had a falling out with the band and Eric in particular just a day or two before the Jaunt started. The fight with Eric escalated to property damage, and they got kicked out of the Motel 9. Thankfully Armin had the foresight to bring tents just in case.

They're in the festival despite (or perhaps because?) they're relatively local. About a year ago Eric was involved in another incident resulting in property damage, this time at Malik's bar. They ended up making a deal with Malik to pay off the damage by agreeing to play there regularly.

Despite him being incredibly violent when he gets pissed off enough, Eric's usually pretty chill since he's learned to work out a lot of his aggression through his drumming. So if anyone local wants to know them, or anyone not local wants to be one of their new fans or just be a fan at the musicians in general at the festival, etc., let me know and we can figure something out!

Drizzt will be Investigating. AS AN ADULT. ... Who literally just turned 18 on July 1st according to his ID. So still baby faced and adorable, but no more voice breaking. Unfortunately, still a human vacuum.

He will at some point be drug into a porn shop by Davesprite. Drizzt will also probably be reading books and can be introduced to the world of 80s music. He will also get a Walkman and tapes. Someone teach this child music. Additionally, he will probably go into Malik's bar at least once to just enjoy a bar that reminds him of stuff from back home (sailors), just because he can, and not actually try to get booze illegally. Drizzt does not want to get booze illegally, either. He's an odd child.

Guenhwyvar will either be a house cat or, if I decide to annoy her, a dog.

Beatrice & Rise

Just a quick post here...

Beatrice is going to be Investigating this time. She's going to be thrilled to be at a big festival like this back in Her Time (if not with Her Crowd, exactly), and will likely latch onto the Aliens plot thread as soon as she gets wind of it.

Rise on the other hand will be Infiltrating as a band member of some kind. I put her in for a plot role or two but that's probably not going to happen, so more than likely she'll be a less prominent member of one of the headline bands (bassist? Backup singer?) or have her own group. Not 100% sure and I'm willing to take requests and suggestions! I'm probably going to just make her full-on American as well and have her dating Souji's infiltration, if that's relevant to anyone but me and Matt.
